        • @aoiro: Yes correct. You can buy 10 $100 cards and get $100 ww rewards and then buy a final one with $100.

        • @Turd: You're right, save even more this way (only 0.1% but still)

        • @Turd:

then buy a final one with $100.

Or get the $100 Only 1 visa card that has no purchase fee atm. More useful than eBay GC unless you really need one. But you do miss out on the final 2000 points too.

        • @Turd:

Are we sure there is a limit? I bought 10, then the 11 was free and got $10 (2000 points) for that one too

        • @snvl: No limit, You can buy 10, then the 11th is free and at the same time you will also get $10.

So it's a recursive style occurrence.

        • @Turd:

Thanks Turd. Now i will have yo come back ;)

        • @Turd: Thanks, good to know it can be done this way. I've always assume only $10 off per transaction.

        • +1

          @Turd:

i'm confused. others say it takes $10 off straight away next purchase i.e. when they do multiple gift cards? Yet your saying it accumulates so it doesn't automatically use it?

I'd just like the option of not using my woolies points for either the $10 or qantas (that way I can choose whichever one suits most at the time)

  • Has anyone tried buying the cash rewards e giftcars and going through self serve or even a normal register and being successful?

How about buying groceries with the ebay cards too perhaps so it gets hidden amongst it..?

    • Doesn't seem to work

      • +1

thankfully it worked for me on the weekend when i went back to do one.

unfortunately i bought 2 without it… so i only got 1 through.. but i didn't need more than 2 or 3 cards so I'll try it again next time.

On another note it allows me to use the egift card at caltex woolies for fuel so that's a pretty sweet 5% Off fuel i never knew existed…

    • Went into my local Woolworths in Sydney Hills district and it declined the use of e-gift card.
Also i tried self service check out but was flagged to go to register and pay.

      • ohhh interesting. no issues here. did you have food or other items or just gift cards when you were trying to use the egift card?

        • Was buying 2 100 eBay gift cards and a 100 visa at Stocklands?
Where did you buy yours from?

        • @Rollie:

WA based.. so other side of the country :( i bought mine with a bag of nuts (cashew and macademia mixed, and a mixed nuts) haha. it worked! I would just buy a bag of something for groceries to be certain and get less stares at the self serve?

  • Any know if you can purchase the ebay gift cards with woolies egiftcards?
I know you can purchase woolies wish cards anymore with egiftcards

Last Myers cards deal I purchased with egiftcards no problem at my local woolies

But my wife tried purchasing ebay gift cards yesterday for me on her way back from work at another woolies and it was declined with woolies egiftcards

  • Where does it say limit to 10 per customer??

    • At the bottom of the page, even if it doesn't say so some stupid manager or checkout staff can make up the limit anyway.

      • There is no limit in the POS system.

You can get as many as you want but u might want to get them in separate transactions.

        • You are wrong, there is limit of 10 in the POS system, it won't allow you scan more than 10 even if itis $50 ebay card.

        • @samehada:
Ok I always scan less than 10 per transaction and got more than 10 in total.

        • @sintro:
And you got them all on the same rewards card? Ie more than 10 and rewards points for the additional cards were allocated?

Still works using egift card at Woolworths Cranbourne The Avenue, self checkout bought with other stuff. As of this morning there were heaps $100 and $50 cards left.
Tried earlier at Casey Central normal checkout and didn't work and self service had stickers saying gift cards can't be purchased there.

  • Can the remaining balance of an eBay giftcard be used on another eBay account?

Have used the 10% promo code twice on my main eBay account (limit of two uses), and would like to make more purchase however I still have 1 eBay giftcrd with balance on it - so, can it be useed on another eBay account?

    • nope, once used it stays on that account

  • Woolies Haymarket & Central Park Sydney no longer have ebay giftcards.

  • Can't find any eBay gift card in both Woolworths near me.

    • Want $800 eBay gift card but cannot post on the forum, anyone can help?

  • +3

Thanks OP. Wonder why this deal doesn’t have many votes and a 10% ebay code like Phenom has +500 votes

Edit: the only thing you miss by paying with gift cards is that you cannot claim eBay price beat

    • +2

Who cares how many votes it has. People value things differently.

    • Because a discount code does not require you to lock up your money in advance, and your money does not expire after 12 months unlike an eBay gift card, and you never have the problem of having too many or too few ebay gift cards.

      • +1

12 months unlike an eBay gift card

        3 years.

        But you might be right.

        • The fine print on the back of mine says "this card expires 12 months after the date of issue", but I just googled and gift cards have been changed to 3 years mandatory minimum validity in NSW (where I am) and businesses are allowed to run down their stock of existing pre-printed cards, which must be what happened to me, so you're correct.

          @nickj:

there were a big sign on my local woollies advertising the 3 years, that's why i know.
