After countless requests the Titan charger is back. Each of the 5 ports feature Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, Samsung AFC, Huawei FCP and Tronsmart VoltIQ charging technology. This makes it perfect for charging multiple QC-enabled phones and power banks. The charger takes a standard figure 8 cable.

Next up is the Tronsmart U5P featuring 1 USB-C port with USB-PD (5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/2A, 30W max) and 4 USB ports with VoltIQ intelligent charging (5V/2.4A). This charger is suitable for charging USB-C laptops including some Macbooks. This charger also takes a standard figure 8 cable.

The third deal is the Tronsmart TAC01 USB-C cable that supports fast charging up to 3A. It's nylon braided for extra durability, USB 3.0/3.1 for faster data transfer and comes in the length of 1m.

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate. Free shipping included on all orders.

What is Quick Charge 3.0 and VoltIQ?

Qualcomm's Quick Charge 3.0 technology is 4x faster than conventional charging and up to 40% quicker than Quick Charge 2.0. It typically charges a compatible device from 0% to 80% in 35 minutes. It achieves this by increasing the voltage from 3.6V to 20V with 200mV increments. This technology is backwards compatible with Quick Charge 2.0, Samsung AFC and Huawei FCP which is capable of charging a 3500mAh battery from 0% to 60% in 30 minutes.

Both chargers feature VoltIQ intelligent charging that charges up to 5V/2.4A in each port simultaneously for devices that are not using QC technology.

  • No deal on the 6ft and 3ft + 6ft cable combo OP ? :)

    • +2

I'll check with Geek tomorrow and see if that can be done.

      • Thanks :)

      • Would be keen on that too, thanks OP.

      • Ooo… that would be good

      • OP, any luck on getting that deal? :)

        • No luck on that one. I've got codes for other USB-C cables but USB 2.0 only and not braided.

        • @Clear: No worries, I've ordered mine. Thanks OP!

  • Dammit, can't decide between the two chargers.

Bit of help? Which one wld be best for charging phones, tablets, laptops AND mini things like Bose Soundsports/Smartwatches?

    • +2

Tronsmart Titan is more suitable if you have QC 2.0/QC 3.0 devices listed in included documents. The USB-PD is more suitable if you have something that requires USB-C. Also worth asking if the laptops are USB-C too? Otherwise these won't be any good for charging them.

Either way both would suffice for charging the earphones and smartwatches.

      • Thanks Clear

  • +1

Can you get one of these that will charge an macbook pro ?
Ive had a few of these and none of them do well on the pro

    • +4

Macbook Pro uses a 61W USB-C charger, but the Tronsmart will only go up to 30W on USB-C. So yes it will charge it, but not as quick as the included Macbook charger.

      • Switch uses 39 W in docked mode I think, so this won't support that then?

        • Assume no because the Switch pulls an incorrect voltage anyway.

    • I second this

    • I have the Kogan 80W 5 port charger (60W USB-C PD + four QC3.0 ports) - it charges my 15" MBP at 60W and my Nintendo Switch at 18W

I also have the Anker PowerPort+ (the one which does 45W USB-C PD and not just 30W) - also will charge my 15" MBP at 45W (and Switch @ 18W)

Both do charge the 15" MBP - just slower than with the 87W Apple charger - but they do work

      • How do you like that Kogan 80W charger, BTW? I currently pack an Anker PowerPort Speed 5 63W for travelling, as I have multiple QC devices to charge. Would the Kogan be just a bulky (or more so)?

        • The Kogan is good in that it's got 60W USB-C PD (rather than 45W) but it is larger than the Anker - so I generally take the Anker when travelling

  • Awesome, been waiting for several months for a deal on the Titan Plus, thanks a lot!

  • +1

Hmmm, has anyone come out with an all in 1 charger yet, i.e.

QC + PD + Some basic USB

  • Hi OP, with the Titan Plus, will it ship with AU plug?

    • +1

It comes with an EU figure 8 cable which most people would normally have a spare of and can be picked up very cheap. Otherwise there is an EU to AU adapter included.

      • Thanks Clear, also which of the two would you recommend for travels? The Titan Plus or the U5P?

*Should clarify that I'll be charging a phone, GoPro, and some earphones. Don't have a use for the USB-C (for now).

Did notice the size of the Titan based on pics that's why I'm asking.

        • +1

If you have USB-C/PD go for the U5P. If you have QC go for the Titan Plus. If you have neither then both would still suffice.

The Titan Plus however is bigger than a standard 5 port charger as seen here.

        • @Clear: Thanks Clear, would you say the U5P's size is closest to the 5 port charger located to the most right on top of the Titan?

  • +2

the usb-c model in the listing only does 30w on the usb-c PD port incase people are wanting to charge some of the newer, larger macbooks ….hence apple also make 60w and 80w pd charger eg 80w for 15” macbook pro. so people need to read fine print when buying usb-c pd chargers depending if they are charging phones or laptops and how quick they want laptops to charge.

i have the 90w tronsmart with usb-a port now for a few years without any issues ….plus in 3 devices including an ipad (2.4a charge) and all are ready overnight, and if in a hurry it does my phone as QC3.

  • Do you have any deal with PD power bank?

  • hi Op, Do you have any deals with Usb C to USb c cables?

  • Hey OP do you have any deal on PD Car charger?

  • Hi
I have few apple devices with lightning connectors, 2 x Iphone 6s, 3 x iPads, and various usb items like speakers, watches etc.
    I don't belive any support QC2/3
Would the titan be suitable or do you have something more suitable on your website. Will get a newer iphone soon.
    Cheers

    • the best most chargers will do on apple devices is 5v 2.4a charge unless its an apple device with usb-c PD support …

QC is QUALCOMM and apple use their own chips in phones and tablets, and intel in laptops and desktops.

Apple have PD chargers at 30W for entry level but also 60W and 80W so you can also charge laptops, most of the PD chargers seem to be 30W, OK for phones, but not most laptops.

until more laptops use PD the market for manufacturers is mainly phones, hence 30W PD.

  • Just picked one up. I have the older Titan with QC2.0 from a few years ago and it is my go to travel charger as 1 of that covers all my needs. The total power of 90W is also sufficient to charge all 5 devices at full speed.

  • Hi OP, would this charge a surface book 2?
Planning to buy the 15" model

  • Tried to use my $20 balance that I got from selling my car on Gumtree but Paypal won't apply it against the transaction.

  • Does this provide fast charging for iphones and apple products OP?

    Thanks,

    • VoltIQ in both (5V/2.4A) will be able to charge iPhones and iPads quickly.

      • Can it fast charge iPad Pros at 14.5-15v/2a like the Apple 29W charger? (Recently replaced by the 30W) Would need the Apple USB-C to Lightning cable also

        • That would require USB-PD which the other charger listed is capable of.

  • As mentioned, the USB-C on the U5P is only 30w so I wouldn't bother using this to charge a Laptop.
This would be a better choice:

  • this is quickcharge 3 , the old quickcharge 2 versions can be had for $20

its all about speed v cost plus if your device is qc3 or 2 or 1 or 0….

    • The original Tronsmart Titan was discontinued years ago. I'm curious to where you get them for $20?

      • currently $23 , a few weeks back white one 20.

        https://www.geekbuying.com/item/Tronsmart-90W-5-Ports-USB-De…

doesn't come with a code though

        • Out of stock. There were a couple of left over units sold a while ago.

        • yep now out of stock bought mine a couple of weeks ago…don't need qc3

  • Anyone know how long for the shipping?

    • +1

Free shipping is advertised as taking up to 30 business days from China. Typically for these larger packages (rather than a cable in an envelope) it will take 3-4 weeks.

  • Great charger and good price.

I've got 2 of these + the Kogan 80W for travelling and charging my XPS13

  • Bugger, I can't seem to use the coupon TRONSMART5 now. Website says This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times.

    • +1

      Try now.

  • What's the input voltage for this please? 110v or 220v?
Going to Japan, can anyone recommend a Wall charger for Japan where 100v is the norm. Thanks

    • Both.

      • Thanks Clear!
So, can I use this for Japan 100V too?

        • Yes input is AC 100-240V, 50-60HZ

  • Great buy OP considering canceling my pre order on the 80w kogan.

  • How many QC devices can the Titan charge simultaneously?

    • +1

All 5. Since QC3 goes up to 18W the Titan has 90W allowing each port to use the maximum 18W.

  • Hi Clear. My one from the last deal has a faulty port and gets REALLY hot in that corner too. What do you suggest? Is posting back going to be prohibitively expensive?

    • Order number? I'll see what can be done.

  • I got a shipping notification from Australia Post for this today saying it was ready to pick up in South Melbourne auspost. Problem is it was meant to be delivered to an address in Glen Waverley. The tracking details show delivery was attempted in South Melbourne. So I'm not sure where the screw up has happened.

I don't have a missed delivery card and won't be driving that distance to get it. What should I do Clear? Thanks.

    • That's an Auspost issue so you really only have 3 choices. Call Auspost and see what they can do, go there and get it or not collect it at all and it'll end up being returned to sender.

      • Is it possible it's someone else's order mixed up with my tracking number? It's quite possible someone in South Melbourne has already picked it up.

      • I called up auspost, seems the address was correct, but the postie has just dumped it off at the nearest post office near the sorting facility. Guess that's to be expect on a Friday arvo!

Auspost will transfer to a closer PO for me to pick up.

Only had to wait a few mins to speak to a local aussie when calling up auspost and have it sorted out. Such a relief.

        • +1

That's really good to hear! Despite how crap their posties are their call reps can be quite good. Once I had a package get lost in the mail with AliExpress. Auspost on the phone typed up an official letter saying it was lost and I sent it to AliExpress resulting in a refund.

        • @Clear: I stopped keeping track of my Chinese purchases, but you just reminded me I haven't received my portable torch from Joybuy. From this deal (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/385365). Looks like no one received them.

        • @marquise: Gees that's pretty bad. I actually had an order from a month and half ago get refunded yesterday from Joybuy. Apparently they couldn't source stock at a low enough price to send me.

  • Hey Rep - just wanna say thanks! You ship them real quick.

    • Normally people say the opposite :P I'm glad you're happy :)

  • Musta been spesh then.. :)

  • +1

    In one word, WOW.
Here is the story, I needed another wall charger and have been happy with my Tronsmart charger for the past year or more, plus LOVE being able to swap the figure 8 cable to US, EU or UK for overseas travel.
Did a quick search on Ozbargain and found this 4 week old post, bugger missed it.
But I really wanted the upgraded Titan Plus model, much more expensive everywhere else. Also, don't care this one is only available with the EU cable as I have a few AU figure 8 cables. Ummm, lets try and see if this code still works.
Taa Dah, it works, discount applied, wow.
So at today's exchange rate just over $42 and I'm very happy, Bargain.
Now the wait and see when it arrives.

    • UPDATE: Titan Plus arrived today 5 Oct 2018 via Aust.Post with tracking.
I am impressed Geekbuying, delivered to Sydney Metro in 9 business days.
Bargain, Bargain, Bargain, THANK YOU :)

  • When can we get another one of these deals!

    • I'll ask Geek and see.
