I was in EB Games at Seven Hills, Sydney and they had these for the same price.

So, if you can’t get to a Bunnings perhaps your local EB has.

Target also has their brand on clearance for $5 (stocks limited) so that might be an avenue for some to explore also.

    • Thanks just bought and picking up from my local EB :)

  • Does anyone know if these batteries will be ok for recharging while inside xbox one controller ?
I know xbox one has proprietary battery packs to recharge, or you can just put 2x AA batteries inside.
I do need/want a charger for my AAA batteries, then I was thinking maybe I could use the AA in xbox one controllers.

    • That's what I use it for, but I take the batteries out to recharge them.
Put them back in when fully charged.

Note: the charger only has 4xAA battery slots.

      • Yes, thats probably what I would do most of the time. Sometimes more convenient to just plug directly into console though.
Do you know if that works ?

        • Not entirely sure, sorry about that.

        • I probably wouldn't risk it. You get a 4 pack of batteries so just always keep 2 charged and swap out when the controller ones get flat.

    whats the normal price?

    • According to EB the batteries + charger are normally $19.99

Got it the last time there was this deal.

  • Can this be used to charge Eneloops or the Ladda batteries from Ikea?

Side note: can an Eneloop "dumb" charger charge the Ikea Ladda batteries?

    • Yes and yes all will be compatible but i would buy a smart charger if you can. You will extend battery life by not over charging the cells.

They are cheap now days look for a charging algorithm that is dv/dt it basically pulsae charges NIMH cells.

  • this is dumb charger right ?

    • +1

Yep. Same posted deal as before, same dumb charger. Not worth it because of that; can get 4 AA/AAA batteries for less at IKEA and Aldi.

What do you mean by "dumb charger"?

        • +5

It doesn't detect and automatically stop charging when the battery is full (only when it hits the timer cutoff). Once the batteries are fully charged, the excess power is just released as heat from the batteries which will degrade them faster than a 'smart' charger would. Smart chargers will stop charging when they detect the batteries as being fully charged (eg by monitoring voltage changes).

Also, this charger can only charge two or four batteries at a time (not 1 or 3).

        • Dumb charges simply charge batteries for a set time, so it can potentially overcharge batteries if they are put in half charged, whereas a smart charger terminated charging when the battery is full.

      • We don't all live near ikea and Aldi though

Here have my vote.. but it's varta!

  • Use price beat at Bunnings to price beat EB games by 10%.

    • This is already cheaper than EB so no price beat.

What's the best smart charger to get then?

    • id like to know this also..

I think this is good enough for use on the tv remote. Just bought one thanks op.

How much is this usually at bunnings?

    • To be honest, I'd probably buy more from Bunnings if they use the same marketing as most stores with the RRP crossed out.

  • Couldn’t find these anywhere must be sold out went to three Bunnings
