Expansys AU "Deal of the Day" HTC Desire HD (A9191) unlocked $468.38 delivered

34

Went to check out accessories for the HTC Desire HD on Expansys AU and came across what they call their "Deal of the Day" (didn't know they did those). $498.72 is the cheapest I've seen this for, even compared to eBay. Staticice had the cheapest at $564. This one is described as "HTC Desire HD (T-mobile start-up logo,Multilingual)".

Expansys offers "free GST" for AU orders under $1000, so when I tried to add this to my cart, it removed the GST and applied $15 postage —> total of $468.38 delivered. I think that's a good price for a feature-packed smartphone that's not even a year old!

Oh, and just adding their T&Cs:
1. Offer cannot be used together with any other promotion offers & vouchers.
2. Bank Transfer only
3. All rights reserved

I'm not familiar with these "Deal of the Day" things on Expansys, so I would assume this sale will end quickly, so hope this helps those searching for this phone.

edit: Sorry, guys. I didn't realise Expansys had such bad reviews! Mods, feel free to delete if needed.

Makes me regret posting a deal from them here a while back.

Let's look at the reviews that have been left for expansys.com.

wow, so many guest user reveiews.

so many registered users who registered the day they reviewed the site and haven't posted anything since.

productreview.com.au — let me review that site —-> it sucks.

  • I don't think this is unlocked, is it? I mean, T-Mobile startup.. ><

Other companies are slightly more expensive, but at least those are factory unlocked, and hence way more worth the few extra dollars.

  • oh man dammit. I am really in the market to buy this phone or the Legend in the next couple of days!!!!

Its a bummer the site sucks.

Thanks a lot mate for sharing tho!!!

    for f#$ks sake.

pull your pantys up and stopping quibling.

    whirpool post is from 2009.

google expansys + problems. minimal stuff.

google dealextreme + problems and you will get more issues. but I have no problem in recommending DX.

pay with paypal. if something happens with expansys then do a claim back.

if this deal is the cheapest for this phone on the internet and I really wanted one then I would grab it.

Oh, and just adding their T&Cs:
      2. Bank Transfer only

      No paypal claims possible.

    • then stuff what I said.

never send cash money overseas in an unsecured transaction.
