It's Tuesday 11:59PM CST which is Wednesday 3pm for VIC/NSW
Pretty much only takes off the delivery price… still paying full price (most of the times jacked up menu prices)

Yep definitely depends on the total. So zfan's scenario is if you order $15+$5 delivery = $20. If you use the voucher it would take $5 off. However, those with partners or friends will be spending more and saving more.

Unpopular opinion time: Speaking of jacked up prices - uber takes 35% of the bill themselves so IMO restaurants are fully justified in compensating a little. I had a good chat about it with my local cafe who's recently ditched them altogether.

How come Oporto's is so expensive via UBer Eats? $20 for a Bondi fillet burger combo.
Everyone gets their cut.
Ubereats takes 30-35% CUT of the food order, so your $20 burger, Uber is taking $7 cut, meaning Oporto is getting only $13 for it.
And what about the driver? Are they paid for distance (like an Uber car), or fixed price per delivery?
Driver is paid set fee + distance, calculated by Uber for the SHORTEST route. So even if the driver goes on a sunday drive to your place, they still get the same fixed amount that Uber worked out as the shortest route.
The amounts shown below are before the Uber Service Fee has been deducted.
Pick-up fee: $5.45 per pick-up
Drop-off fee: $2.85 per drop-off
Delivery distance: $1.50 per kmThen Uber takes a 30-35% cut of these 'rates' paid to drivers. So they take a cut of the food and of the delivery fee paid to drivers.

Most restaurants I know up their prices by 15-20% to cover the costs of ubereats. So this just brings it back to parity when delivering is factored in

I've done that but the promo code hasn't been applied. According to the Uber Eats FAQ the promo codes are only applied after the order has been completed. So I guess I'm not so sure they will still agree the promotion was still active then.

Same here! I added it to my account and it shows up under promotions, and this morning when I rung up an order it showed the discount. Now that I go to buy it though it doesn't show up any more. Bugger.

Same issue as everybody else. Put my order through and no promo code was applied (even though I saved it to the account in the morning).
Filled out the form on the app (was something like 'promo code didn't work') and few hours later uber responded and just refunded me 25%.
I did the same thing. I said that the code was applied to my account earlier in the day but it didn't get applied to the order, and a little while later they refunded me.
Has anyone used an uber eats referer code recently? I've noticed the referer hasn't been getting any credit.
