$50 bonus for opening an NAB Classic Banking account + iSaver account at an NAB retail kiosk and depositing $50 within the required time period. Note that an NAB retail kiosk is not an internet kiosk nor a regular NAB branch. See the comments for the previous NAB promotion for NAB retail kiosk locations http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/35446.
The NAB Classic Banking account has no account keeping fees http://www.nab.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/nab/nab/home/personal_.... The iSaver account has an introductory interest rate of +1.1% for the first 4 months (current standard interest rate = 4.75%, so introductory rate = 4.75 + 1.1 = 5.85%).
To open an account you will need 100 points of ID (eg driver's license 70pts + Medicare card 30pts). Supplying your TFN when you sign up will also save you the hassle of ringing up later.
The promotion card I obtained from the retail kiosk at Carindale has the following on it:
To receive a $50 bonus into your new NAB Classic Banking account, remember to deposit at least $50 by 15 April into your NAB iSaver or Classic Banking account.
^This offer begins on 7 March 2011 and ends on 7 April 2011. The deposit of $50 must be into the Classic Banking or iSaver account by 15 April to be eligible for the $50 bonus. Only one credit of $50 per customer. NAB Classic Banking accounts will be credited $50 by 28 April 2011. This offer is only available for those Classic Banking and iSaver accounts opened at Kiosks. Existing NAB Classic Banking customers cannot receive the $50 credit. Any advice in this document has been prepared without taking into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Please consider the terms and conditions for this product, which are available from National Australia Bank Limited.
Edit: The location of some NAB retail kiosks according to the Westfield web site http://westfield.com/uscentres/ourstores/banks-finance-1852..... There are also some kiosks listed on http://www.nab.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/nab/nab/home/About_Us/.... The list might not be accurate - use at your own risk. Make sure you sign up at a retail kiosk (they will be advertising the promo) and not a branch or internet kiosk.

+3 votesThere was no free cash. CBA identified a software problem with their ATMs and had the choice of either shutting them all down or putting them into offline mode. In offline mode customers could withdraw more money than they had, but the transaction was still recorded and will appear as an overdraft if too much money was taken.
greenpossum on 07/03/2011 - 14:13 ¶Is that all? I thought you might have a shopping centre or a block of apartments to sell to satisfy the creditors. :)
greenpossum on 07/03/2011 - 14:35 ¶I think the authentication system was working, what didn't work was the checking of the account balance.
greenpossum on 07/03/2011 - 13:37 ¶Looks like a repeat of the campaign end of last year. There's a NAB kiosk in Chatswood Westfield if anybody is around there. Pity I can't get the bonus again. :)
+3 votesjacklynhydejr on 07/03/2011 - 13:43 ¶So if I just closed my NAB account and switched to CB for the $100, wonder if I can now go back to NAB, plea insanity and re-open it to get the $50???

must a kiosk is a killer, couldnt (bother to) find any :)
here they are…
- NAB Internet Banking kiosks are located within more than 300 NAB branches. Here's a list to help you find your nearest one:
http://www.nab.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/nab/nab/home/About_Us/...

http://westfield.com/uscentres/ourstores/banks-finance-1852....
anything with a 'K' at the start of the store number is likely to be a kiosk.
lol i love the photo of the chick in this kiosk: http://westfield.com.au/doncaster/find/detail/store?retailer.... that is basically what they do when no customers are around :)
stellaoriens on 07/03/2011 - 14:14 ¶As noted in the OP, a "NAB retail kiosk" is not the same as a NAB branch or NAB internet banking kiosk. It is basically a stall set up in a shopping centre, like the ones that made American Express (in)famous.

im confuse. the link you give above, they said NAB at westfield eastgarden or bondi as NAB kiosk. but in the link http://westfield.com/uscentres/ourstores/banks-finance-1852...., given by mattgal below, they said it is a NAB, not kiosk? or did i misunderstd anything?

you are interested in NAB retail kiosks, not internet banking kiosks. there is a kiosk in bondi http://westfield.com.au/bondijunction/find/detail/store?reta.... just make sure you go to a kiosk and not a branch. the kiosk will know about the promotion. the branch will probably not.

+3 votesall this free cash! CBA, then ING and now NAB, takes me back, i feel like a spoilt little kid again getting birthdays cards stuffed with cash from grandma…. :)
ps time to close the new NAB account! besides, it's their fault, they put Ms on the account instead of Mr!
+1 votePOWERevolution on 07/03/2011 - 16:18 ¶
+1 voteit was a pain in the butt to sign up for the account in the first place, took about 40 mins and they made me look at TC's etc. Then they called me a few weeks later asking how it was going etc..
bit annoying. So I don't think ill bother cancelling and reopening..
ballsofsteel on 07/03/2011 - 16:29 ¶I would like to know too :(
Opening this NAB account for the CBA Deal :D free cashhh!

So:
- Sign up for a NAB Classic Banking account before the 7th of April (at a NAB Kiosk)
- Deposit $50 before the 15th of April
- Withdraw $100 after the 28th of April
- Close the account
- ?PROFIT $50
OR does the fine print indicate a lot of BS between 4 and, eventually, 5 being realised?
greenpossum on 07/03/2011 - 15:23 ¶You have to decide if 1 and 4 are worth ($50 - interest foregone) of your time. Took them 20 minutes to sign me up.
+1 votejesseboy89 on 07/03/2011 - 17:57 ¶I've never waited more than 5 minutes to be served in a NAB branch (ACT).

G'day all
The Link to where NAB Bank Kiosk's are located
http://www.nab.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/nab/nab/home/About_Us/...Awesome, a bank giving away money, at last!
Montaigne83 on 07/03/2011 - 19:25 ¶when u say not available to existing NAB customers, would that include Ubank customers or not?
firedragon on 07/03/2011 - 19:59 ¶It's nice they're offering this promo again. I did it last time though, so yeah.
enterprise on 07/03/2011 - 20:15 ¶Some more VIC locations:
Forest Hill Chase
Chadstone
The Glen
Southland
Chirnside Park
Altona GateTook about 10-15 minutes at Forest Hill and The Glen when some friends and I went. Only annoying bit is reading thru the privacy stuff. Otherwise painless.
+1 voteCrownanchor on 07/03/2011 - 21:45 ¶According to the T&M, no, Classic account holders are not eligible, and there are a lot more and clearer T&M this time, although its unclear the reference to the isaver account. If we have a classic account, can we open an isaver account and qualify for the $50?
+2 votesenterprise on 07/03/2011 - 22:11 ¶They are both fee free accounts. No min balance as far as i know.

http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/39898. but you need the nab account open until the 29 april to get the bonus payment.
+2 votesrichard4aus on 08/03/2011 - 12:14 ¶I just call the NAB Kiosk.Basically if you already apply for class Banking and iSaver account before. You will not be able to receive $50 cash back. Even you cancel and apply for new one still doesn't work. You profit will be in NAB System. It only works for those who never have an account with NAB and apply in the stupid NAB kiosk.
I apply on 05/03 which just miss out the starting time for this deal.
F (here delete 2 words) k
+1 voteCrownanchor on 08/03/2011 - 12:29 ¶What about if you just have a classic banking account and apply for isaver? Would probably work if you had an isaver and apply for a classic account.
+1 voterichard4aus on 08/03/2011 - 13:18 ¶NO,only if you apply through NAB Kiosk after 07/03 for set up classic banking and isaver account together If you have a classic account and apply for isaver doesn't work.
Master plan for someone have got ANY NAB ACCOUNT BEFORE. Apply for new NAB Classic and Isaver account at NAB Kiosk, deposit at least $50 by 15 April into your NAB iSaver or Classic Banking account, then wait until 28 April 2011 when NAB will credit $50 to your Classic Banking accounts.
On the next day, which is 29 April 2011, change to CBA claim $100 for switch from NAB TO CBA.
Profit:$150 Duration: 52 days.
