I think it would be a good deal if it would have a card reader or a USB port.
      And you don't have a Netbook / iPad / anyPad(tm)

  • biggest thing id want to know before buying this, is how long does the internal battery last for

  • +3

Why not just get a netbook for around $200/

Bigger screen, 5+ hour battery life, plays all formats, plus it's not just limited to watching movies.

    • Unfortunately netbooks almost never have DVD players.

        cough USB

        • cough How do you rig up a netbook and usb attached DVD player on the headrest of the drivers seat for the kids (2 & 4 years old) in the back.

This is the point of a portable DVD player like the one listed.

Even though COTD posts seem redunant as we all know about COTD offerings thanks for the post anyway as I am in the market for a replacement DVD player for the car as the current one has a screen on the way out.

        • rip the DVD and store it on the netbook then..

  • …you can take this with you and while away the boring hours watching your favourite DVDs

Does the battery even last hours?

I always wondered, what does MPEG4 compatibility mean? Will it play my m4v (MPEG4 Part 14) files?

  • doubt it, m4v is a DRM Apple file format, this mpg4 is for avi files just like divx

  • Thanks Laz! Just bought one.
