Good deal if you like on-ear headphones.

      …and brown.

      • and navy.

      • +4

        I like brown… :(

Although I stopped reading the post at on-ear. Hm.

    • +5

And only have crappy LoW ReZoluTion headphones and NEED to upgrade.

      • -3

Don't worry, it's impossible to hear any further resolution beyond CD quality but obviously if they told you that …

    • they deserve more love :(

      On-ear

Welp. At least I don't have to even consider it now.

    • Lol why buy audiophile-ish headphones and lose your beautiful sounds to bluetooth? Also for those who care why also add to your bombardment of electo magnetic radiation if you can help it….

    • Sorry, im not really good with sound tech, what's wrong with on-ear headphones and whats good?

  • Going on clearance everywhere if you miss out, though this is the cheapest I've seen it.

  • +22

good price but not $170 off been $109 for over a year at centrecom

  • +2

if only it was the SR5BT on clearance :(

Only get it if you have tried on-ear headphones before and ok with it. I find them uncomfortable.

  • +2

hmmm.. this model doesn't have the ergonomic top-of-the-head padding that some of the other Audio Technica models have…might be worth taking this into account, especially if you're going to be wearing them for extended periods.

I have an old ATH-T400 with this style of padding: https://audio-technica.com.au/products/ath-ad500x/ . Of course, you look silly if you're wearing it outside.

    • +1

I have a big head, and these kind of audio technica headphones are so good. That's the only ones I can keep for hours without feeling them.

  • +2

    Pity they On ear

    • Pitty they also sound like garbage. 2/5 stars for sound for me.

    • +1

Seems on the ear is a little on the nose.

  • wish there was a great deal for the same but Over the Ear instead….. Does Audio Technica make a comfortable OTE that can be worn for 7-10 hours a day????

    • Sony definitely do, love my XM2's.

    • ATH M50X is the best Over the ear headphones.

      • Chill you two, I have both and I can tell you they sound completely different

      • Meh. Doubt it. I jumped on the ozb hype bandwagon with m50s, they were hopeless. Sold them. Although my reference point is much more expensive.

When shopping via ozb you need to know if the hype is over value or quality. For headphones I want quality, not value, but I'm probably in the minority there.

AT headphones are a value proposition.

        • +1

My working class ears quite like the performance of my m50s, but then my ears don't seem to enjoy the same privileged existence as your upper-class auditory receptors.

          • @dm01: Do upper-class auditory receptors hear better sounds?

            • @f38r1: Not just better sounds…the best sounds!

              • @dm01: I want to upgrade to upper-class audio receptors. Where to get these

        • Same here. I bought pistons to see what all the hype was about. They sound like the $10 TDKs you used to buy at coles p on your lunch break when you forgot your headset.

Of course, those days are over thanks to Apple.

    Are these on-ear?

    • …allow these lightweight headphones to fit comfortably and securely on the ears for many hours of listening enjoyment.

      • -2

But they go over the ears right?

        • +6

They usually go around the neck.

  • i tried to post this weeks ago and it didn't let me. there were black ones for $99 as well but they sold out.

  • Ive always wanted a pair of these to look cool while im heading to the gym in my hoody or like gelting ready for football which is probably the worse possible reason to buy a pair of $100 headphones….
