No motion sensor is a deal breaker

      I motion that !

  • cool! thanks Op. any idea what sort of plug they're using? I need about 4m of cable.

If you need something a bit brighter, this is 400lm & $21 (but it's motion activated which might be better/worse)

    • Just extend the cable and leave the connectors intact. Solder the joints and shrink wrap them.

Better to wait and get the aldi version with motion sensor for $15. So much more convenient

    • I bought two of the Aldi ones they lasted about a month. Returned both and wouldn't buy them again.

      • Have 4, 2 from last year are working great. Same ones from this year's sale also great. But returned 1 last year as battery didn't hold charge.

I've had one of these and would not recommend, poor build quality. I got the $10 supercheapauto mechanics light that has magnets and I stick that to the roof. You can pick up similar ones on ebay for $15

  • These things aren't much use. 40 lumen is a faint glow. Compare that with 800 lumen from a traditional 60w light globe.

Plus you have to install it.

  • 40 Lumen is a like a candlelight! LED??
