    Reviews comparing it says it's not any better. Still has the same issues (though admittedly a number of them are fixed with the latest firmware on the WF-1000X). Biggest issue still plaguing it are the 2.4 Ghz interference drop outs in congested areas.

  There's a new version coming out soon with better battery life and 4GB onboard storage. Although they'll be more expensive, reviews on these units haven't been better than average.

  Got a pair of these a couple of months ago in the last 20% voucher. Bang for buck at this price was excellent. the feedback you find online about this model is generally bang on. Great sound but relatively poor battery life and the charging case is a cubic pebble looking thing thats about a bit smaller than an espresso cup without the handle. i get about 2 days total usage out of it with a couple of hours on pub transport and an hour or so at the gym before having to plug in to charge the case.
  i got the refurb from the sony ebay store, arrived 2 days after order. Box was still sealed and item was brand new
