Jesus. Anyone know if this is state/country-wide?

    • +4

Love to know this too. Need some cheapies for the kids so they don't wreck the good ones. lol

      • +16

The kids will find the good ones anyway.

        • +1

Unless I hide them well where they can't reach them! Just picked up three of these, so now they don't have a choice and have to use the cheapies.

Edit: There is no jack to plug in a headset on these controllers. Should have checked this first, bit of a fail on my part. Guess they will be using the good ones after all!!

    • Yes this appears to be nationwide. Just picked one up from MacArthur Central from Brisbane CBD.

      • Cheers mate. Was on the train but will head back now and get one

If it scans up at the register (or sales PDA) at this price, then it is nationwide.

    • Could be…

Nice find OP! If only I saw this before leaving work.

  • Superb price.

Great feedback. Thought it was an aardvark until I read the description.

    • +4

If you’re having trouble viewing the photo might I suggest seeing an optometrist?

      • +1

        Username checks out.

Well, I'm not sure if optometrists deal with bleeding from the eyes because of badly taken photos but thanks for your suggestion.

Younger siblings everywhere will learn to hate this brand

    • F-in MadCatz man

  • Could be good just for the cable?

  • Got receipt to check if they can price match it in other JB, OP?

  • Just be sure to update the firmware before use.

  • Wow $2

  • How much was it originally?

  • +4

I bought it for $20 from target a year ago. Well worth the price. Need to update the controller using a PC. After that it is all good. Good response and nice grip. Well with the price.

    • Does it work with PC?

    • Same here bought a white one for $20. Before the update would disconnect on the ps4 after a few minutes. Afterwards works fine. Also I have used this with my Mi Box and it works well. For $2 it's worth it

    • Does the analog stick actually work across all angles?

I've bought a logitech controller from EB games before and the analog stick only worked in 8 specific directions; UDLR and diagonals, very annoying for overcooked

Useful for me to throw from frustrating FIFA19 seshes

    Available in WA.
Too far away for me sadly :(

    • Which JB Hi-Fi in WA?

    • Bunbury has none. Mandurah and Claremont have some for those of you city slickers up that way ;)

    • Only a few stores had stock left, pretty much gone…

Some guy just took all 5 from Whitfords apparently…
      Malaga's all cleared.

I managed to hold an ex-return…

      • Yeah I’m Brisbane CBD this guy took the last 6 so I had to run around to other stores. Just wanted 1 lol.

Expect to see them on gumtree tomorrow

      • From the Cockburn store yeah?

  • None Perth city or Osborne park

Anyone know if they're PC compatible?

  • Any on the central coast and hunter areas?

Nice, third party PS4 controller with the Xbox layout.

    • Good point! Makes it much more useful.

  • Any vibration ?

    • +1

      Only good ones.

    • +3

      Box says yes

    • +1

Yes. But, please do not tell us what you plan to do with the controller.

  • Just bought one in Brisbane CBD next to Rebel.
There’s one left at the time I purchased.

The other two CBD stores have no stock.

  • Any in Newcastle? That anyone knows of?

  • +2

Heard a lot of negative reviews, so much so that the guy at JB a year or two back when I got mine HEAVILY advised me against it.

However, the thing works fine most of the time. Needs an update every now and then, so I'm glad I still have my old eMachines laptop floating around, barely play PS4 anymore, Spider-Man was the only game I've played all year really, but the controller hasn't given me any issues yet.

Happy with the 20 I paid a year or two back, will grab a spare if I stumble into one though, cheers.

  • Reckon this would work with a PS3?

    • No.

    • Yes, should work fine on a PS3 as it is a wired controller.

  • +3

    I don't even have a PS4 but wow that's cheap lol

    • +1

It would be extremely un-ozbargain of you not to purchase one 😉

      • +5

Hahaha yeah it would, but I don't want to make someone else miss out!

        • +1

          That's even more un-ozbargainly!

  • Wow.. never seen any console controllers for so cheap

  • None in stock at Forest Hill, just picked up the last 3 from Camberwell. For $2 bucks a pop, I don't care if they are crap, although the JB guy did say he hadn't heard good things.

  • +1

I tried Knox and they hadn't had them since last year. Narre Warren apparently have a few.

  • Just updated firmware and handed one to my son. 'Dad, where do I plug in my headset?'

Doh! No headset jack. lol. Bit of a fail.

    • Now you have to buy a bluetooth headset lol

  • -4

No mention of thje product on their website. How TF are you supposed to find where has stock?!

  • -2

    How do you charge this?

    • +3

      Mana

    • wired.

This won't be a popular comment but:
    landfill

    • +2

true of upwards of 20% what’s on OzB

      • That’s not nice, his name is jv.

  • Would these work on a retropie setup. PS3 and 4 controllers do (never tried them though)?

    How long are the leads?

    • Yeah it would work fine on a retropie. The leads are 3M.

    • Yeah I tried both of mine tonight and they work well with retropie. Not the most comfortable controllers for extended periods but they will do. Only annoying thing is the strong white lightbar especially at nighttime. I managed to cover them up with some spare lightbar stickers I had previously bought off ebay for my ds4 controller. It was much better after.

      • The stickers probably cost more than $2.

        • Lol close the deal I got was something like 6 stickers for $1 posted. But yeah without them forget about trying to use this infront of a big screen. The glare is so bad and the whole room is lit up. Now it's virtually all gone.

  • -2

Work on Xbox one? For $2 they are worth a shot.

    • +1

No, probably only ps4 and pc. Possibly ps3 via usb. If you buy the 8bit dongle, the switch as well.

  • -1

Is this merely powered by the (fixed) cable, or the cable is the connection (i.e. not wireless comms?). The former I can run off a USB power source, whereas the latter has me a bit too close to the TV…

    • +1

Read the description has a fixed 3 metre cable.

  • Its a junk. Dont buy if you are not gonna use it.

  • Would this work as a controller on Android?
