Amazon seem to be matching a lot of OzGameShop's prices. This includes the season pass which has DLC content and some additional weapons.

They aggressively price match which is terrible, there is never a deal on Amazon if some one else isn't doing it. They would sell at RRP if that was a choice, making them no better than EB, who price match all the same, just passively. They didn't even bother to match BigW recently, Starlink has stayed firmly at $99, despite BigW selling at $89 online and in shop.
It's all great when you're in for the ride but long term, Amazon's tactics worry me, the Aus retail scene for gaming is already dwindling. Feels like any day now, Amazon are gonna ramp up "Amazon Exclusive" editions and pull the same BS line as EB, "we can't price match that, it's not the same product!".

Someone linked a journal article saying amazon game pricing was great, and I disproved every single item on it.
Yet I got negged.
Amazon tactics stink.
yeah, Amazon concerns me. not just in the gaming sphere, their business practices are so dodgy that I'm trying to avoid buying from them. would rather spend an extra few bucks and know my money isn't going to Bezos' empire.

Sucks that the DLC by itself doesnt get discounted like the Gold Edition. Those of us who bought the original game before the Gold Edition was released have to pay full price (or close to), while everyone else gets the DLC discounted as part of the Gold Edition!
I do love the game, but I refuse to pay that much for the DLC. If it doesnt go on (decent) sale soon, I may just resort to alternative means!
Yeah, wondering what the trade-in for the original game at EB would be like? Could possibly upgrade for less than the cost of DLC with the right trade bonus.
Last time I tried to trade in the original, EB offered $21, but that was maybe a month ago.
Was that the base rate, or does that include a higher level member bonus?
Maybe with higher level bonuses (and birthday bonus?), might work out pretty good! (Unfortunately, i’m not even a member, let alone a high level one! aha)
