Good Nintendo Switch Case + Protector

Looking for some good switch cases and protector.
I also found this (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Nintendo-Switch-Carry-Bag-Storag…) on ebay and wondering if anybody has bought it.

  • Looks very similar to one that I bought if not identical (there are a lot of very similar ones like this). It did the job, stuff isn't super secure in the top pocket, but then I wanted a grip and a grip doesn't fit in the case.

Tried to find a good case and grip combo, long story short there's a couple of specific products that work OK'ish together (you can find them https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2689074 ) but I ended up buying a Skull and Co Gripcase which is excellent but very expensive, ~$80 or so for 2 different grips and a case that fits them.

  • Not too sure to be honest, similar to Diji1 above I have one that looks the exact same, seems to work fine, but I'm not really sure how much protection it gives. Makes me feel better when I use it on planes but other then that its okay, bit heavy but works fine.

  • I've had a few and this is the best in my opinion

    • I also own the Nintendo Switch Game Traveller Deluxe Case (usually drops to $20-$25 during sales) and it's pretty bulky and doesn't fit much inside.

  • I've got this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-kAN7k0UVg

I like a sleeker, easier to carry profile and this fits the bill. Looks great too in my opinion, and even though it isn't an official case it looks like one, which is exactly what I'm looking for. The game carrying cases are great, very convenient. Unfortunately the pouch isn't too big and you'd only be able to fit 2 joy con straps in.

As for the screen protector I went with the Amfilm one, seems to be the most recommended one on Reddit and other forums. Works well so far.

  • Really depends on what you want it for.

I originally got a Butterfox Deluxe Travel Case as it got good reviews. It fits the Switch, 2 extra controllers, the charger, a ton of games, my 3d printed stand and a 3rd party HDMI cable. It's good when I take it on holidays or to a friends house, but it's really bulky for everyday use.

However, the second case I bought was the Tomtoc Slim case: https://www.amazon.com.au/Nintendo-Portable-Carrying-Cartrid…

The Tomtoc really only carries the Switch and games, but it's perfect for commuting. It's super slim and not much bigger than the Switch. I highly recommend it.

    • +1 for the Tomtoc Slim Case.

I purchased mine from this deal and it's the perfect size for travelling.

Just note that the case will only be to fit the console + 8 games.
