Minor things, i really don't understand where 2k is a monitor resolution…. 1440p yeah… Or because 2 sits under 4 nicely?

3840x2160 = 4k
2560x1440 = 2k/1440p
1920x1080 = ???/1080p

  Some people started calling it 2k because 1080 fits into it almost 2 times. Really it should be called 2.5k while 1920x1080 should be 2k.

Can anyone please recommend a 27 inch 1080p monitor for work and general video/web browsing? I don't play games and my laptop only supports dual 1080p external monitors so can't use 1440p. Cheers.

      That's a pretty good one. You may consider U2417H for a better overall 1080p screen but I think its more expensive and 24 inches

  I won't recommend any Samsung monitor for working monitor because the fonts look blury on their panel for some reason. Try LG or Dell.
