Getting MoneyBackCo to work after purchase.

I did not realize that Deals Direct was part of MoneyBackCo until after I placed an order.

Is there any way to get my 5% from MoneyBackCo after I have purchased?

I would also like to know if this can work with other purchases.

That would be an incorrect assumption. MoneyBackCo is just an affiliate that takes commission whenever you buy something from Deals Direct — except they rebate this commission back to you.

Now, if you don’t buy it through MoneyBackCo, it means they don’t get commission on what you have purchased (probably someone else gets the commission, depending on which site you have visited before). In that case, they are unable to rebate any commission back to you :(

Thanks for the quick reply scotty.

I guess saying that they are part of the participants or an “affiliate” is a better term.

I kinda knew that was the case.

I know now to PURCHASE VIA MoneyBackCo if the company is an “affiliate”.

No problem.

I think if MoneyBackCo is “part of” merchant, it makes sense to request refund if there’s a promotion running that you are not aware of. Unfortunately it is not the case :(

With purchases via MBC I use another browser (Opera) which I always clear of any cookies before I start. That way I don’t mess up my regular browser, as I can’t tell what cookies are ‘hidden” by sites so MBC doesn’t get credited with the referral, and then I don’t get my money.

Great idea! I am always using an exclusive browser to make purchase through MBC because it is actually quite easy (although unethical) for a website owner to register affiliates’ cookies on their visitors’ browsers. You visit a few dodgy sites and then suddenly your cookie jar is full of tracking cookies from the affiliation network!
