Same price at Hardly Normal, could be cheaper if you've still got those HN gift cards through various Amex promo.

Thanks op! Been waiting for these to go on sale

  • Reviews says it does not have cool air function only hot air setting

    • Got cool air but less efficient than the TP03 based on my usage/experience. Leave the constant monitoring off if you don't like to hear a soft whirring noise in the background in your sleep - the motor/fan never stop spinning when that's on.

I had the same issue with noise of the monitoring function with my initial unit. Called Dyson and sent it in for warranty. They replaced it and now it’s much quieter. I can’t hear it now from about 1m away. I can only here it if I’m sitting next to it.

        • Good to know. Got 3 of them to sent in then…

      • This. They changed the firmware and it went from silent to low buzz. Totally freaked me out the first few times.

If you purchase directly from Dyson, you get a free filter worth $99, making the fan $400 which is an even better deal.

dyson website gives free filter with purchase

Read so many reviews about the unit not cooling enough on fairly warm summer days ! OR u need to sit approx 2 feet from the unit to feel the cool air.

So really thinking about this if its a bloated $10 fan from bunnings ? ;-)

    • I think it is just a fan with a filter and optional heating mode :)

      • More like an air cleaner with optional cooling/heating mode.

Thanks for posting was planning to get one of these over the weekend. Makes sense why they were gift card offers with purchase of these at JB and Harvey Norman.

Just checking that this is the 2018 version? There is a 2017 version that looks exactly the same but is cheaper.

    • no free filter with the white version :(

      • +1

The free filter is only available if you purchase directly from the dyson website. Not available with purchase through Dyson ebay store.

  • Opted to go with the filter deal for $499 as i know i'll be kicking myself later when filter needs change

Can someone please tell me how good is this? Does it work like aircon? Does it need lot power?

    • I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, but it's not an air conditioner. It's a fan, heater and air purifier in one. It will cool you down as much as a fan blowing air on you would.

    • It is not air con. It's a fan. It does help spread air con so I use it to cool down my bedroom by redirecting air from my lounge where the air con is.
The best features of this are the heating in a small space and regulation of the temp, and the air purification… Its reduced a lot of my allergic sinusitis

      • The reason I compare with aircon because I seen nagative review that this fan doesn't provide cool air. I thought like why they expect to have cool air for a fan

        • Nods… It helps air circulate, but it's best function is not as a cooling tool. In some ways ppl are right. A 20$ fan is just as effective if that's all they want. But this has other uses… And I haven't had problems with it with almost daily use, apart from the small noise when it's on auto monitor.

          • @TheRealCher: Would you recommended to a friend if it's not on special ?

            • +1

@asianbargain: Depends on the purpose. If it's for a small space, and they would benefit from the purifier, and live somewhere south of… North Brisbane, then yes, because the heater is the best I've had.
But not if the primary purpose is for cooling… Spend the money on a portable air conditioner
