Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TX10/ZS7 (incl GPS + Face Recog'n) *Blue* $313 + $4 S+H

32
DC-PNS-DMC-TZ10B

Nice camera, out a year or so ago. Good reviews. Better 3.0" screen than others in class. (They had a Red 1 @ ~$340 + S+H.) Cheaper if imported from HK for Au$272 incl S+H.

Dunno how long offer lasts. I've seen 'em costing > $400 in SA.

One deal (that I saw the receipt & camera from) brought a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZS7 + 8GB SDHC for Au$242 incl S+H (sic), On eBay, they'd listed a TZ10 (w/ BOTH: NTSC + PAL), but could only supply a ZS7 (no PAL), or said so, after receiving payment.

This vendor seems a bit brighter, listing both the Int'l & US model numbers; they can presumably ship whichever camera they have or can get, when each order arrives.

PS The only way to get a cheaper one (legally) is to import one from, eg, HK.

I think you'll find that shopping square is a grey market importer…..

    $223, (if you don't mind a red one….), not sure of delivery….

ps, sorry….should have edited into one post :)

I know we all hate shopping square and all, but really? You're going to pull out DWI and Citiwide Online as comparisons?

It's only $6 more, and for that it gets posted from within Australia (grey stock or not, at least its here) and the vendor doesn't attempt to upsell you with the entire farm like DWI does!

(EDIT: Just so you know I'm not pulling things out of my ass :) :

      http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_83193_Panasonic_Lumix_DMC…

That would be the equivalent of DWI and Citiwide Online's offers - $240 + $79 shipping and marked as "Direct Shipping" means this particular one is shipped from overseas.)

I think the bigger question is why is the blue one more expensive??? Do they have to catch and milk Smurf's?!?

      • +2

$240 + $79 shipping and marked as "Direct Shipping" means this particular one is shipped from overseas.)

        and….still more expensive than DWI….

        • Tbh I didn't put it there for comparison purposes, it was more to prove that the TZ10 the poster put up is local stock - to show that shopping square somewhat indicate which stock is local and which is overseas.

My point still stands - $6 more for local stock and no upsell.

so….aside from 'potentially' faster shipping, (we don't know… we are assuming that they are local stock), and having to click 'nil' on further options, that may or may nor be needed. They are essentially the same deal.
Depends on whether that is worth $6 to people or not.

Whether people trust shopping square or not is also another variable…..

Nowhere on that page (blue camera) does it say that it's shipped from within Australia so even if SS drop ships the camera you have nothing to argue against it.

And why wouldn't people compare this deal with DWI and Citiwide? It's exactly the same thing. Grey import camera being delivered to Australia by online only store.

The point is, it's the same thing for cheaper at other stores.

  • TX10? or TZ10

    • TZ10.

I have one. Good little camera.

I bought on for a friend from here last year, it's a great deal and you get an Aussie warranty. I know SS has it's issues but iit was trouble free for me.

  • One year warranty in Australia - Who provides it? don't think it is Panasonic - why bother?

    • +1

doesn't panasonic have global warranty? I think.

      • Yes on some products - however you would see seller clearly mentioning it when they do!

  • Bought one from OW the last time SS had a sale on these, were $299 including shipping at SS, so OW beat it by 5% bringing it down to $284

    • We found one on eBay - located in HK - for $272 with 8 GB SD card + some crapy "gifts" + FREE S+H.

It listed as a TZ10, but, when the vendor asked if they could ship the NTSC-only ZS7, we negotiated a $30 price drop.

      $242 for a (ZS7, NTSC-only version of) TZ10 + 8GB SD card is pretty sweet… :-)

  • panasonic is one of the VERY few brand that offers international warranty on their camera?

so just buy from ebay..from hk seller would be BETTER i reckon.
