Affinity Software 30% off. Affinity Designer or Photo Mac/PC ($54.99 was $79.99), iPad versions ($21.99 was $30.99)

Serif have launched a 30% off deal on their Affinity products for Black Friday. Bringing Photo and Designer both down from their $79.99 price to $54.99 and their iPad versions from $30.99 to $21.99.

These are widely lauded as very capable alternatives to the Adobe equivalents (even if not a perfect replacement feature-for-feature) and worth having in your arsenal or as your daily drivers. They currently have a Publisher product in beta as well.

Previously their sale pricing has carried over into the App Store price for Mac users which means you can stack with a 20% off iTunes gift card and reach even lower pricing. But I can't tell if lower pricing is available in the app store because Apple don't allow you to see the prices for things you've already bought!! Also I don't know where currently you could get a 20% off gift card… Please advise in the comments if this pricing is reflected in the App store and I'll update the deal.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2018

  • Is the license valid for all future versions?

It is my understanding that you'll receive all minor updates for free (i.e. 1.6.0 —> 1.6.9), but you'll need to pay for major updates (1.6.9 —> 1.7.0).

Some major updates have taken more than 4 years to release.

      • I had a chat with their CS through FB, the license will be valid till version 2, so all the updates will be free until then. Purchased!

  • Affinity Photo is $55.61 in the Microsoft Store. Bought a copy. Decided to get it through the store so I can install on 10 machines and hopefully get access to all future releases.
