This Friday evening, the Sydney Symphony performs Beethoven's mesmerising Seventh Symphony. A symphony of pulsing intensity and drama, it provides the music to the emotional climax of the Oscar winning film, The King's Speech.

Then Barber's beautiful Adagio for Strings follows and the concert ends with John Adams' hypnotic Harmonium, a tour de force for choir and orchestra.

    thanks for the post.
    yeah like "immumo", i wasn't able to book any of the premium tixs in the stalls. but managed to get 2 A-reserve tixs in circle :)

    finally got to discount pricing…

    had to make an account first, then login, then use the code, and then select ONLY fri nyt (not applicable on other days) - got decent seats. never been to a symphony at the opera house before so a bit excited! c y'all there! :D

        Having attended and performed several concerts at the Opera House, I can only wish you all a great night. It's a magical place, even if the inside does look like total arse.

        Dress up, bring a camera (for before and after) and enjoy the show!

    just bought A Reserve in the Stalls. Thank you!! Havent been to SOH for ages. And last time I went was way on top in the circle/ cheaper seats (was still expensive)

    I entered the code but still everything is full priced. Has anyone tried to book today? Could it be all the discount seats are sold out? I tried to login first and enter the code and select Friday.

    Tried all the possible ways but still couldnt book it. I called up and they say it's only for booking though the website but the seats are all sold out anyway. Please let me know if any of you can still book it. I'd really like to go.
