  • What's the cheapest/best-value gaming mouse that qualifies? Mostly for CS:GO. Thanks!

    • I just posted below, but I'd recommend the Zowie Gear mice — the EC1-B has a great sensor and is perfect for first-person shooters — the whole range is good and should pick depending on your hand size / if you are left handed / etc

      • Thanks, I think I gotta agree after having a look. I saw a bunch of Zowies around 80-90$ that would qualify, wonder how to differentiate them.

    • I have been using the Razer Deathadder and it is great. Not sure if it's the best price but here it is on NewEgg..

          I can just create O365 email aliases

          • +1

            @shole: Gmail has inbuilt aliases by using a . in the username.

            Eg. JohnSmith is the same as John.Smith and Joh.nSmith and Jo.hnSmith etc

            • @aragornelessar: nice
              I have O365 Biz essentials so easy to create a shared mailbox for me

            • @aragornelessar: But is it also the same as J.o.H.n.Smi.Th?

              • @Hintswen:

                But is it also the same as J.o.H.n.Smi.Th?

                Yep from my understanding, gmail doesn't use . as a unique character - just totally ignores them. PITA when someone uses your email address without a . in it, but useful for multiple shopping accounts!

  • For the record, the $75 minimum is BEFORE GST. Making minimum spend $52.50 after the discount (75 * 1.1 - 30).
    What I want comes up a few dollar short ;_;

  • Any suggestions on a watch deal?
    Found a beauty but the delivery was $40!
    Looking for a black water proof men's dress watch with non metal band up to $100.

    • Do they sell watches, or you're referring to something else?

      • Sounds like you're referring to the dress haha

        • Hmm! Didn't know these guys sell watches. I thought they only sold computer related stuff. Should have searched watches on their site early. haha

  • Good way to get an ergotron a little cheaper. Shame the open box stuff isn't available to AU as it's super cheap, but perhaps it stops me fussing to replace any missing accessories as being complete isn't guaranteed

    Don't forget cashrewards for the extra 1%

  • Is there such a thing as a Wireless Mechanical Keyboard? If so, can anyone recommend a decent one for less than $100?

  • That's a super good deal.

    1 use per customer though. :(

    I know you can create more accounts, but I feel it is morally questionable to do so, so I won't.

  • got some more ram.. thx

    • +2

      Fixed by adjusting the region preferences in top right corner…

  • Thanks op! Got a new HD for my ps4.

  • How quick is their delivery, anyone knows?

    • There's a delivery estimate when you pick your shipping method. IIRC it said 4-7 days for my 2x Raspberry Pi's using free shipping.

    • My Ryzen 1700x that I ordered from there posted on here, took exactly 8 days to arrive after ordering. Typical shipping times to be expected from USA :)

      • Thanks both! ’m going overseas in 13 days! So was indecisive a bit

        • All good, I'd say there's about a 90% chance it'd arrive within 13 days man. Good luck! :-)

    • They aren't the fastest on the free shipping, my 1700X seemed to hang around waiting to catch a plane. Then on this end they end up with bl**dy auspost, so seem to wait for a passing donkey to take them the rest of the way. Assume 10 days.

    Hey guys, is it possible to add at Wireless PCI Card onto this? Unfortunately no Ethernet socket in my bedroom..

    • A powerline adapter solved that problem for me.

      • Wait, WHAT? This whole time all I needed to buy was something like this:
        https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/d-link-powerline-av500-passthro…

        To use my internet via Ethernet Cable instead of having to use wireless? This whole time?? Please tell meee :O

        • +1

          Yes that's correct, you can send ethernet over the power cabling in your house via the powerline setup, works a treat in big houses.

          • +1

            @doweyy: Damn! I didn't know this was a thing until now: https://www.techradar.com/au/news/networking/powerline-netwo…

            I'm glad I came across these comments as this will come in handy.

          • @doweyy: I really appreciate you telling me this. I never knew! Okay, well I'm currently living in a small unit at the moment, the two ethernet cord inputs are in my parents bedroom with the Wifi Router in there bedroom & one in the kitchen.

            I don't really find it practical to be running a long ass Ethernet cable along the house from there bedroom or the kitchen to my bedroom. Don't want anyone tripping etc / safety hazard etc.

            So if I put a powerline adaptor like that into the power point in my bedroom, I plug the Ethernet cable from my PC to the powerline adaptor. I'm so lost how it connects to the itnernet from there though? How does the powerline adaptor connect to the internet / router with wireless in my parents room?? I'm so clueless.

          • @doweyy: Okay, so watched some videos, the way it works dumbed down for someone noob to this like me is this basically?

            "The Powerline solution is less visible − a 'no new wires' approach. You buy a basic kit, which comes with two Powerline adapters and two short Ethernet cables. You connect one of the Ethernet cables to your router and to the first of the adapters. Then you plug it into the nearest power socket. You click the second Ethernet cable into the back of the HD TV and into the second adapter. You plug the second adapter into the nearest power socket."

            • @NeedWifeForVeryCheap: Yep that's pretty much what it does. It essentially allows you to plug two devices (powerline devices) into wall sockets at different parts of a house / apartment, and then plug the ethernet cable from the router into one, and then a cable into your computer / TV from the other. It sends the ethernet over the power cabling in your house (I'm not sure how) and makes the device have internet, it's actually awesome!

              It takes a bit of fiddling to set it up, but the instructions are very clear and once it's set up then you're smooth sailing.

        • I prefer the tp-link powerline adapters because they face the ethernet ports downwards. All the other brands make the cable go up.

          This is a good entry level kit;

          https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/tp-link-av…

          I use these ones because they have two ports and transfer rate is theoretically faster;

          https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/tp-link-av…

          • @Ge3ks: Thanks, I've got a tp-link router in my parents bedroom as well.

            So if I put a powerline adaptor like that into the power point in my bedroom, I plug the Ethernet cable from my PC to the powerline adaptor. I'm so lost how it connects to the internet from there ? How does the powerline adaptor connect to the internet / router with wireless in my parents room?? I'm so clueless. Wouldn't that mean a powerline adapter is basically like a router? Does it have wireless built in it? So lost haha.

            • @NeedWifeForVeryCheap: You plug one into a power point that is close to your router and then connect them together via an ethernet cable.

              Then you plug the other powerline adapter/s into a power point wherever you want the internet, and run an ethernet cable from it/them to your computer, or smart tv, game console etc.

        • +2

          I'd be buying from a store with a very good returns policy. Depending on the age of your house (and the quality of your wires/the way it's wired up) you could end up with very good speeds, or barely anything at all.
