        BNC requires a hub, PoE only requires a home network.

        Also, I'm pretty sure BNC cannot carry power also, where-as PoE supports both power and data.

          Correct, these models have separate power cables. The DVR acts as a hub, and can broadcast the stream to mobile devices etc.

              @Major Mess: The DVR records in 1080p, using AHD over the analogue connection. The resolution of video streaming to mobile devices will depend on network speeds etc.

    To the best of my knowledge, analog (BNC) cameras can't do 1080p, only digital/PoE cameras.

      IP systems are PCs, HD analog systems are gaming consoles.IP is the way to go if you're building up a system. HD Analog systems work just as good in a lot of situations, but you're limited in upgrade options.

      My $400 OzBargain deal Uniden (rebadged Dahua) 8 cam HD-CVI 1080p system has been running 24x7 for the past year without any problems. Like dashcams, I bought something that would work while I research my ultimate setup and procrastinate and wait for prices to drop.

    im interested in a digital deadbolt

    how does the keylessy compare to the likes from Yale and lockwood?

    do the samsung ones work with the lock being on the right?
    the picture shows handle on the right and bolt on the right. (when facing door)

    most doors ive seen are installed on the right side of the door, so the handle should point left and the deadbolt (facing away from the house) would need to slide left

    Has the deal finished early? Went to check out for 4 camera system and prices have now reverted. Edit - been talking to their sales chat. Even though the chat started with "Hi there! DDL is having a weekend sale with select digital locks and CCTV security camera systems until Sunday midnight." They are indeed no longer honoring the advertised sales price, not great.
