Update: It looks like this sale has pi55ed off the store. They said if this happens again (cancelling an in-store order for online one), they will charge a 20% cancellation fees!! The staff was in no mood to argue so I just left. :)
My fridge-freezer is several years old now and due to always grabbing the same part of the handles, the silver finish has started to wear away, showing the white undercoat beneath.
As the doors to this fridge have no pull handles and utilizes slits in the side of the door, have you noticed any wear of the dark coating yet?
Also, I know Samsung say the colour/finish is "Black Layered Steel" but is the fridge matte black, shiny black or dark grey as as it hard to tell from the photo's?
Nah mate, nothing like that in mine. Not yet anyway.
We have a very similar fridge (RL4013UBASL) - just be aware that there is a hole at the back of the freezer that connects to a rubber tube with a small slit in it, and if that gets clogged for some reason (it's only happened once to us) then your fridge will start icing up down the bottom and eventually leak out onto the floor. The tube's easy enough to remove and clean, but you'll probably have to warm it up to get rid of all the ice built up inside behind the panel.

Have had this fridge a month, very happy with it. If you're in the need of one I would recommend getting this cause I paid a bit over $1000 with shipping. So obv good deal.
I just checked this morning and it was 1098 on TGG eBay. Strange.
Anyway, TGG are charging the delivery fee. Is there anyway to waive that?

Sorry, that is a different model - white colour and with door handles. I dont know what makes a $100 difference. My wife wants white colour :-(
Hell yeah! Thanks so much OP. My partner and I just moved into a new apartment and the fridge cavity is annoyingly low, so we are having to sell our old fridge. Had a look around and this fridge offers the best combo of high capacity for its height (1700mm) and bang for buck as well as looking nice and having the fridge at the top!

Really good fridge at very good price, mine is almost 4 years now and I am very happy with the layout of the firdge.
