Does anyone have experience with refunds for FBT salary sacrifice cards? Looking at having a balance remaining at the end of the FBT year. Thinking of making a purchase and refunding after the start of the new FBT year. Any idea if this will be picked up and the new FBT year reduced?

The refund wouldn’t be picked up by your employer, I think. The employer is responsible for the recording and reporting of the fbt amounts paid to you and for any fbt tax that may be incurred in the fbt year. The refund wouldn’t go through their books. But if it’s a considerable amount, I’d ring ato fbt line.
