Nest IQ outdoor - where to buy from?

  Any reason why the Nest cameras? Is it for intergration into a current Nest system? Just curious. Found a few places, but not in Aus, and these cameras are hellishly expensive. Just wanted to know what makes just a single Nest camera cost as much as a whole 4 camera Dahl’s/hikvision NVR system…

    Probably easeability, which is why it's so expensive

      But something like an Arlo system is just as easy and appears to be better priced and easier to buy and obtain warranty if something goes wrong.

      You can get an Arlo Pro 2, 2 camera system for about the same price as a single Nest camera.

        I have arlo right now. There is some bugs which are annoying. Also, not to mention no ability to record 24/7 which is what I want.

        I would go with Hikvision if it has a better interface when people detection etc.

  So it looks around $400aud per camera. Expensive but looks amazing. I like the interface and ability to track facial and it remembers people etc.

  Also I like the ability to filter out people from shadows and trees and animals etc.

  Agree on the Arlo, I think they have similar features with Nest, 2way audio, clear night vision, mobile app and all. Thought maybe this might help. Although Nest can be very expensive. The monthly fee is really something to think about.
