Not sure what you'd use it for, I think holding it would be a PITA for small jobs and the hose is only 3m long so you'd likely be constantly moving it around.
I'd recommend something like the Ryobi from Bunnings for $119 that does 2000PSI. Even the Gerni classic for $100 would be a better option, same pressre but nearly 50% more water flow. At least they both have 5m hoses but an 8m replacement hose is always a good idea.

    • Indeed, I can't conceive of a single circumstance where a wand wouldn't be more convenient.

    • I went in for one today and the bloke at bunnings said to be wary of the Ryobi psi ratings… The 2000psi one you are referencing is maximum rating of but output is more 1450.

      • That's correct, they all quote maximum pressure. The Bosch in this post for example is 1450PSI max, if you find the user manual, the rated pressure is only 6.7MPA or around 970PSI. Same with Gerni, the 1800PSI models have a rated pressure around 1500PSI. You need to find the user manual to get the true rated pressure, most manufacturers won't list it separately as it makes their product appear inferior when the competition are all using maximum specs.

  • The Aquatak 120 is a better deal when it's on sale at $98, which it was over the holidays ($125 now). It's got the full size lance, 2 nozzles (including the useful roto-nozzle), a 5m hose and more pressure. I find the form factor of these quite handy as they are easier to move about the place than roller models (IMHO). My 120 is great for cleaning concrete stairs and it's great with the car. The included detergent tank is too small to do a whole car, but you can use it to see if a foaming pre-wash if for you before buying a 1L foam cannon.

Agree. The 120 is soooo easy to put away compared to the equivalent karcher/gerni/ryobi ad it comes with the adapter to use karcher accessories as well which is a pleasant bonus.
