  • Reading some of the reviews, it appears the internal memory isn't non-volatile and will be lost if the batteries run out or are pulled from the unit. Anyone own one and can confirm?

    • Yep, but only three reviews with an overall rating of 2.7:
      - One seems to have read a different product description. Assuming that this was packed in clear packaging, it should have been evident that the rear screen could not be viewing of pictures. They still gave it 2-stars for quality, and 3-stars for value?
      - One says the children found it hard to click the button and hard to keep stable, and not one picture 'came out'.
      - One gave it 5-star without comment.

    • A few more reviews on the Walmart site:

ALL BAD 1 out of 5 star reviews.

I saw this in my local Officeworks a month or two ago. The megapixel resolution was curiously absent from the box, but a chick behind the counter was able to look it up 'on her system'… from memory it was less than 1 MP! We both laughed, and she said 'wow, that would pretty much just be a blur'. I concur.

  • For $9 (was $25), this is a deal as it appears to be available from various other sites for between $17.99 (plus shipping) and $42.95.

    Fit for purpose? Maybe not.

  • I agree, they are garbage. Santa brought one to our house and was asked to explain why he was peddling such rubbish. Photos all unclear even on "High" quality that reduces capacity down to about 25 photos (package says up to 100 (on low)). Photos self erasing from memory. Would not recommend.

Youd be better off spending $9 on getting a waterproof case for your spare mobile phone.

    • +3

You'd also be better off putting a $9 phone (telstra lite) in a zip-lock bag.

      • Wise words, peeps. My hat is off.
