Ongoing deals getting swamped by the daily deals - how can we highlight these ongoing deals?

After reading another Jetstar deal that no one could access, plus another Domino's voucher that gets cancelled, I came to realise that these companies "deals' are flooding this site, whereas deals that are ongoing which are valuable are being "lost'.

I missed the ausspecs 10% off for Ozbargain because i never saw the original post and it's now off the radar. Sure you can search but often you dont think to do that. Likewise there is the ongoing - abeit slow to pay, sportingbet moneybackco deal of $90 cashback for a $30 'investment" which is a bet which also gets various bonus deal offers.

In the meantime some dude has been promoting his referral site with these bonus bets but is pocketing the referral cashback for himself.

So how do we enable these ongoing deals for all to enjoy?

I thought about having an ongoing tab so we can see the popular deals that still exist but maybe the collective brains can, as before, come up with better solutions … so over to you…..

  • Perhaps a Wiki, highlighting the ongoing top deals.

    • Yes wiki is coming. Not only it can help organising the long-running deals, but a good place for storing tips.

I'm in the process of integrating MediaWiki with Drupal which is frustrating because of how heavy MediaWiki is (and how un-maintainable it is going to be). Maybe I will try something else.

      • GREAT IDEA!!! all for it - start coding - (Smile)

        Thanks

  • Great feedback Ozpete! I agree! Although your comments about "some dude" made my brain hurt…not sure what you mean there.

  • sorry dame - about the dudes LOL

Do we need a this to be incorporated in drupal or a button which take us to a wiki, sorta like going to MBC. (not being conversant with wiki's or Drupal)

Also since the deals would be ongoing a clear indication that MBC is available would be great as well.

Or what about a database of some sort (PHP?)
