Also, as far as I can tell, you can use this in conjunction with this offer:

what if you live in sydney and recieved a sydney flight etc?

    • +3

As far as I can tell from the terms and conditions, there are destinations and flights allocated to each state. So there might be 1,000 flights to and from Melbourne, allocated to Sydney. You won't get Sydney flights allocated to Sydney.

That's pretty cool if you're already planning to buy the phone! =)

      • +7

It says from an Australian retailer, so you can just walk into a shop and find out mate, and when these sort of promos go on the prices in retail shops don't change.

      • +5

You should spend all that TIME you saved, by learning to read.

LOL OZbargain should have an aptitude test for new users before they create accounts ^^

      Retarded promo imo.

    • +9

Uh, of course there's no price, because you can buy it from any retailer you like.

To qualify for this offer you must purchase an HTC HD7 phone from any Australian retailer between the 15th April, 2011 and the 31st May, 2011 and otherwise comply with these terms and conditions.

afaik, diff retailers have diff price, and the ability of you negotiating to bring down the real price tag is diff too, so why would they have the price. Its not like microsoft selling the phone on internet mate. Learn to read perhaps?

Last thing I want is Windows on my phone

  • It will be good if can choose where we want to go. Does anyone know what airline?

    • It would have been better if we could choose where we went - that would have been fantastic.

Microsoft usually fly Qantas, but this promotion might be run by a third party on behalf of Microsoft, and as such may go via a different airline.

That would take the mystery out of it :)

    i luv mystery flights! :)

  • T&C for flight choices are a it restrictive…. if successful, you need to nominate 3 dates for the flight

Great phone with an extra advantage… Contemplating changing my HTC Mozart to the HTC HD7 for the bigger screen - this might just be the incentive I need to do it (presumably I can buy from one of the Australian online retailers…).

  • marketing gimmick

      • +4

        It's less than $450.

Your vote was probably revoked because you don't have a real reason for negging this deal. The deal is active regardless of where you purchase the phone in Australia, and for what price.

        • +8

          Hey IVI,

          Thanks for your reply :)

FYI, if I understand it correctly, if 10 people vote Liberal, and one Labour, Liberal will win.

The comment you posted in relation to the reason for your negative state that "there [is] NO PRICE IN THE TITLE". The reason for this is that this offer is open to all Australian retailers, rather than just one. You can go to any store in Australia and purchase this phone - and irrespective of what price you paid, or what deals you got with it (maybe you haggled to get a free SD card and case), you are still eligble for this offer.

Whilst you recommended modifying the title to fit in the price, there is still an issue that there is not a set price. If I said $450 (which is around about the price you can purchase it from an Australian store I know), then there would be complaints from people heading down to Harvey Norman and finding the price higher.

You also claimed that you had to "register to see the price" - again, you can register as many times as you want on that website, but it's not going to tell you the price. The price is completely irrelevant in terms of what that website wants to know - as long as you've purchased the phone in Australia, from an Australian retailer, then you're eligble.

I don't particularly appreciate the snide comments - but I did have a good ANZAC day. Thank you for asking.

          Michael.

I gave it a Negative, but - once again - that vote was REVOKED by from 8 to 10 others…

…That kind of logic works in, say, China or N Korea but, in AU, it's anti-democratic.

Umm, now unless I've been labouring (no pun intended) under a misapprehension about the way democracy works; isn't the ability of the majority to negate the influence of an individual the very essence of democracy???

You were close though, your analogy was kinda off the mark, but the word you're thinking of does start with a "D"! :p

I hope you had a nice Anzac Day, Mate.

It seems you sure did, are you still drunk? :)

To satisfy your request for pricing:

        $424 - http://www.becextech.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=2…
        $449 - http://www.techrific.com.au/htc-hd7-hd3-gold-diamond3-mondri…
        $499 - http://www.mobicity.com.au/htc-hd7.html
        $615 - http://www.mobileciti.com.au/mobile-phones/next-g-850mhz/htc…
        $669 - http://www.mobicity.com.au/htc-hd7-t9295.html

The phones within the $400-500 range seem to be all UMTS900 models, whereas the $600-700 range seem to be Telstra NextG UMTS850 phones.

        Hope that helps.

        • MiCCAS, the first 2 links are pretty dodgy. Add the phone to cart and checkout and you will see the real cost is far higher.

I don't trust and wouldn't buy from either of those retailers.

        • Hey camelgrass!

They both automatically add extended warranty and other add-ons.. Make sure you remove them before checkout.

        • +1

Fair enough, but the first vendor has a $75 shipping charge (WTF?); the second vendor claims "free shipping" but there is a non-optional $30 insurance charge.

I wouldn't be surprised if these are drop-ship operations and the phones are actually shipped from HK. Just a warning to consumers to be aware as there may be warranty implications.

Much better option to buy from mobicity who are trusted.

        • Eeep - that's actually extremely dodgy charging shipping prices like that!

Thanks for pointing it nout mate.

      • +2

Mate, you spent all that effort typing out replies to this deal, but you couldn't be bothered spending one minute typing "htc hd7" into staticice or some other price search engine.
don't blame others for revoking your vote because you didn't read properly.

  • Telstra stopping ripping people off with your ridiculous 24-month contract plan!!!

    • you do realize every telco offers plans on 24-month contracts, not just telstra? You can also buy their phones outright - no contract.

  • What if it is to Tokyo?

    • I'd assume not :(

      Terms and conditions:

"To qualify for this offer you must purchase an HTC HD7 phone from any Australian retailer between the 15th April, 2011 and the 31st May, 2011 and otherwise comply with these terms and conditions."

      • I think siuol meant the flight.

  • I would neg this if I could, but it's not worth it 'cause it will just be revoked. A $10 booking fee is not the definition of free.

    • +1

Thanks mate - I'll update the title to reflect this.

Edit: Woop - never mind, looks like a Moderator has already done it!

      • +1

Thanks… maybe "bonus" is a better word.

  • So could i get this mystery flight along with the 2 free xbox 360 games or 3000 ms points???

  • +1

Anyone knows if imported handset bought from online retailer is eligible for this offer? I believed most online reseller shipped directly from overseas. Also, as HD7 is available exclusively to Telstra customers in Australia, so technhically, you cannot buy it from anyone else except Telstra or its reseller. On the website, all business listed under "Where To Buy" are all Telstra reseller.
