  • Would be better to get a S9 at this price?

    • This has a bigger screen than S9, more like S9 plus

It also has a weaker SoC, worse camera and no Android Pie. Oppo is horrible in terms of update.

Honestly at $700+ Mark I would expect high end hardware. An LG G7 ThinQ for example, if not something like Poco F1 or OnePlus 6 etc.

whats the use if the battery won't last..
I came from S9+ and happy with this Oppo for now. Bought from JB deal. It runs my games and battery can last me a whole day, S9+ needs 2 extra charges, LOL.

        • The camera is great, specially in the night mode.

The battery is great, SUPER VOOC gives you fully charged in 30 mins, also in screen fingerprint.

bought it from JB hifi deal recently, came from samsung s7 edge.

        • I also bought the other day on the jb hifi deal, came from s8+ and essential phone.

SUPER VOOC charging is incredible. 0 to 100% in 34 minutes (i tested this). The camera also produced good results but tends to sometimes over-beautify. Night mode also works well.

Also the screen is awesome and the face unlock is the fastest i've ever seen.

The software takes some getting used to and customisation but once its all set up you're good to go.

Main complaint is the notification issues not showing in the status bar and require you slide down the notification window, though this can be fixed my fiddling around with the intense battery saving software. Battery life is still an easy one full day even with the changes however with the vooc changer, i have never felt this comfortable. 0-45% in 10 mins.

  • this or OP6T?
Yes the 6T isn't au stock, and maybe $50-80 more? But stock-ish android.
