For those who missed out the first time, Big W has Nerf Recon CS-6 for $15! Unfortunately it doesn't have free delivery anymore but I think it's still a decent deal.

I went through the check out process and it was going to charge me $7 for shipping so you lose about half of the savings over the rrp.
On the plus side, 16 packet clip system darts are back in stock at $5.74 and don't incur any extra shipping fees so you could bundle them in if you want to keep shooting.

    Not 100% sure but I think if you can find something with free delivery you can get free delivery on all items.

      Highly doubt it. The last time they had this at $15 and NOT online only, I went in store and it was $29. I showed the customer service the website price and they refused to match the price insisting it was a online only deal. And ended up saying the website price is always different.

      Also said they already had a few enquiries before me and they will never sell their stock at online prices even though on their website states a lower price.

      And don't bother using their "Find In Store" button as that is nonsense as well. I used it and found stock available for South Yarra, Southland and Glen Waverly stores but when I went to Southland, they had absolutely no stock, called South Yarra and Glen Waverly stores and they took confirmed they had no stock.

    They need to do a decent deal on ammo, now that most of us have a good cache of weapons.

      Kmart had $25 ammo boxes on sale several weeks ago. (Usually $29 or $39, but i think its the latter as many places have it for $39 and above) You got 100 darts in a plastic ammo box that can hold 300 darts. Comes in streamline (recon's clip system darts) and whistler dart variety.

      Equates to 25c a dart + a free storage box.

      You can also get custom darts cheaper off ebay, however these are 'stingers' - basically streamline darts with a plastic tip. They actually sting quite a bit when shot to exposed skin and can damage things around the house, e.g workmate's LCD screen lol.

      I was on the fence about buying the ammo boxes ($50 on darts?!?!), but i bit the bullet (dart?) and got both. Streamline darts are crap in my opinion, the best are the whistlers which pack some magnum stopping power!

        Thanks, I'm waiting on my latest consignment of barricades, then I will have each type of dart. Streamlines do suck for accuracy I agree, they also get damaged easily.

      I've taken restrictors out of one of my mavericks. It makes a good difference, worth doing.

      Just streamlines. All clip system guns only take streamlines. If you put a different dart it'll wreck the dart and jam your blaster.

      I fire them at the wall and my cat jumps up, grabs them, then runs off with them. He thinks its a pretty good game.

      The thing about the cs-6 is most of the bits of the gun are worthless, theres only one essential bit as big as one of the smaller guns. It's harder to reload, takes more steps to shoot, and doesnt even go that far. To be honest I prefer my Mavericks over the CS-6 or the nite finder.

      probably the most common way is to run around the office with your shirt off screaming "PEW PEW PEW!" as you fire darts in random directions (from the hip) and kick bins over for effect ;)

    Very disappointing!! Shooting is really very limited for such a large toy. Probably get the same range with a much smaller model.

    I got mine today. Had to replace my old one as I tried to mod it with a new spring and stuffed it.

    For $15 it's awesome value but all the attachments are really for kids, the only bit you'll be interested if you're past 14 is the gun itself.

    Also, I don't know how, maybe my 1st gun was faulty, but this recon is amazingly powerful. I don't know why, but I do know that I would HATE to be shot in the face with this one and getting hit in the eye would be very serious indeed.

    I don't think this would the case for most. I'm guessing there's actually some kind of fault with mine but i'm not complaining!

    Oh. And we can play with these toys as adults, because we still know how to have fun! Just like when I go out the back and wave my force fx lightsaber around. Yes I feel like a bit of a dill. But i'm a bit of a dill who's having a great time!
