  • Warranty?

  • Do they say what's wrong with it?

    • +4

Nothing wrong. Refurbished so working perfectly.

      • Dents/cosmetic issues?

      • These had a dented panel replaced and then a test cycle was performed.. A great saving.

      • +4

If it's working perfectly why can't you provide a 2 year warranty as is with your new products. You can't even stand by your own refurbished products.
BTW this is just voluntary warranty. I am sure statutory rights on warranty in longer. Who buys a dishwasher knowing it may only work for 1 year.

        • +1

Thats a good point. It suggests there may be some inherent problems with this model.

        • Great point. Was about to buy till I read this..

        • Someone who only wants to pay $200?

          • +1

@Fancydancer: Please hand in your OzB membership card at the door on your way out.

          • -6

@Fancydancer: I hope that someone realises that it's not just $200 but also the cost of a plumber and electrician to connect it as well.

            • +5

@rack: You need an electrician to plug in a 240v appliance in to the wall outlet? And a plumber to tighten a hose clamp?

              • -3

@biap: Not everyone has provisions for a dishwasher in their kitchen. It's usually the DIYers that get into trouble. All the best for insurance claims when things go wrong.

                • +3

@rack: It never occurred to me that somebody without existing electrical and plumbing connections would assume they can get away with spending only $210

For those replacing an existing machine it is a good deal. It may be an acceptable risk that the machine only lasts a year if you are selling the property or need it just to get by until you carryout a major renovation.

It's still a better deal than a $300-400 Chinese dishwasher with 2 years warranty because those brands never have parts available locally (everything takes ages to order in) and after a couple of years no parts will be available at all

                • +1

@rack: Not fair to include the cost of provisioning an appliance (e.g. dishwasher, washing machine etc.) in a deal.

                  • -4

@kz: Mate not saying the cost of provisioning should be included in the deal but why would anyone want to buy an appliance that is only warranted to work for a year. The company claims it's working perfectly yet does not offer the same warranty as it's brand new appliance.

                    • -1

@rack: I agree it is dirt cheap but is it dirt cheap or cheap dirt. A lemon that even it's own company can't stand by it.

                    • @rack: Agreed with the warranty issue.

thanks for sharing, was about to place an order until see your review link.

    • Been using it for the last six months with no issues.

    • +1

Because they don't manufacture their own products, they operate like Kleenmaid and throw their labels on units from all different manufacturers based on best price so they can maximise profit. Go for a brand name machine, you can get parts many years later this way.

  • I love Delonghi products but this isn't known to be very good.

  • +1

    Ooops.. product review beaten.

  • Hey Rep,

Thanks for the link to the seconds/clearance - I had no idea.

Any chance for a deal like this old one?

I see the Dedica there in silver for $199 which is pretty good and I think I might snap it up, any chance you can swing a grinder discount with it too?

    • ohh that was a great deal, and i got some stick for doing that lol but nope sorry… that deal will not happen again as the price was way below cost.

  • Any other refurb items at good prices? If so, can you post a list?

    • +2

There are too many to list, but we also have box damaged items which are an amazing deal for items with marks on the boxes, have a look on the website…http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/factory-seconds/seconds-shop

I will be adding more Ovens etc in the next few days…

      • Hey mate,

When and what kind of ovens where you putting on? Need a new one for my parents,

        Cheers,
        Sam.

      • Can you let us know which ovens ?

  • Does it have a removable top so it can fit under a bench?
It is 5mm too tall fit in my kitchen

    • not that im aware sorry, should all be standard dims..

      • Are there levelling feet on the bottom that could be adjusted to reduce the height?

        • There are feet but they don’t reduce height only increase it

    • -1

      No.

    • +1

It does look like it should but isn’t reflected in the user guide

Prob suggest going to good guys and seeing one in person

    • It does actually. Only two screws and it comes off easily

  • +8

I got one of these last year and the whole plastic chassis was broken. Big waste of time and hassle getting it returned and money back. I was not impressed.

    • Was yours refurb or new?

    • couldn't you have done a charge back ( i assuming your had purchased this by credit card?)

      • +1

How do you do a charge back if the dishwasher has been used for like 3 months before it breaks?

    • Sometimes our courier companies damage items in transit, sorry to hear this. As always we aim to offer a great service, and improvements are needed.

      • +1

Don’t you offer shipping insurance? This should be covered and not a reason or excusi

      • Your packaging is substandard for a delivery by a courier

  • -4

Too cheap. Makes it too suspicious

    • +10

I can add $100 to the price just for you it if makes you happy ? ;) We need the space in the warehouse that these take up for new 2019 products that are arriving. Dishwashers take up a lot of warehouse space.

      • +2

All good, excellent price too bad I don’t any

        • I wish I needed one!

  • Hi Rep, Good price, how do I pay for installation?

    • We don't install, but its very easy to do yourself, if you are swapping an old one out. Lots of videos on youtube…. power plug, drain hose and the water pipes which should be standard screw fittings, but you should check your current setup.

      • Okay. I can place an order now, but don't want the delivery until the following week beginning 11 March. Can that be arranged? Thanks

  • +3

Reviews seem good to me…. some people just dont know how to use a dishwasher….

I have an old Westinghouse and there are very bad reviews for that lol and yes it has its faults but it still going and washes dishes and im still waiting for it to break down…"sigh"

    • Absolutely. People just don't care about reading the user manual before use and then make complains.

  • hi DLKWBR, i have a westinghouse 60cm, currently, will the size and connection all the same? thanks.

    • HI, I dont know other brands but most dishwashers have similar fittings and are a standard size in 60cm, im sure someone can confirm ? Me personally when i got a new dishwasher i swapped it myself unless there was free installation.

  • Here is some more information on the dishwasher:
    http://www.delonghi.com/Global/Products/Images/Major-Applian…

  • Just bought one.
I hope its not a lemon
Like someone else said, reviews are very mixed. But for that price, its worth a shot

    • +1

If it is not dead on arrival, it should work fine. Just read the user manual. Don't forget to push the extra drying function every time, or else you will get soaked dishes. It can only take long glasses in upper rack or large plates in the lower rack, and not both simultaneously. Accordingly adjust upper rack position vertically to suit your use case.

Considering I just paid $140 for a Samsung waterwall replacement motor which I had to remove and replace myself. This is a friggin bargain. Where was this deal 3 weeks ago??? BTW don't buy Samsung appliances.

    • Samsung appliances always suck, buy the European manufacturers from Germany and you can't go wrong. Italian made is generally cheap crap and often sold by brands like DeLonghi and always included when a builder says "European stainless appliances". People think Miele and get DeLonghi.

  • Anyone kown does credit card extended warranty cover Factory Refurbished appliance?

    • Best to ask your credit card provider or refer to the product disclosure statement.

  • +1

This is a discontinued model, great price though, I have been using one for three years now and it does the job, front panel has got a few faded spots.
I don't think the rrp is accurate, back then everyone was selling it around $500-600.

  • Thanks, this looks like a great deal unfortunately I bought my dishwasher last week!! So I passed this deal on to some fellow foster carers and two have purchased so I hope they are happy with their bargain.

  • Does this have 3 spray arms?

    • If you count the small one above the cutlery tray then yes

  • just purchased one of these dishwashers!! Great saving!!
you wouldn't have any 80% off ovens you want to sell as well?

  • Bought 1, not bad with shipping to Tas. Thanks.

  • Got one thanks

  • Thanks rental property needed a new dishwasher so came up at the right time.

  • I have one. Been happy with it. Just make sure that you crack the door open after the wash has finished as the drying leaves a bit to be desired.

  • Hi Rep,

Does this model have a complete stainless steel interior tub? Just wanted to confirm it's not a plastic bottom. It would be great, if any of the current owners can confirm too. Thanks.

  • Hi Rep, I just incorrectly ordered the white one, not knowing there was a stainless steel one for the same price. Could you please amend my order??

    • Is there no number you can call? I wouldn't rely on him seeing your message or being able to change it in time. How would he know which order it is? Is your real name zeppeybabey?

      • +1

I was on on the phone with their customer service who had difficulty having my order showing up (even though I have received an order confirmation and paypal account debited). They said it hasn't yet appeared on their system. They told me that their customer service and web order team are 2 different departments.

  • Does this make coffee?

    • Yes of course. Buy one and see.

  • Need a dishwasher for my rental home. I think this may turn into a PITA if its unreliable.

  • Bought one, I hope I don't regret it LOL.

  • +1

    Hi,

Please find a link to the instruction manual on our website (one is supplied with the machine):
    http://www.delonghi.com/en-au/products/kitchen/major-applian…

    Delivery

I have spoken with the guys in the warehouse this morning, any orders placed yesterday and some early ones today will get dispatch today, you will get an email with tracking information within 24/48hrs.

As this is a dishwasher, it can take a day or two longer than much smaller items in the delivery network, delivery times also all depend on where you live, but we aim to get it to you as quick as possible.

    • still available ? Do you have one in white color ?

  • @Rep, I just bought one for my parents ‘s house at Box Hill South. Unfortunately, they measured the dimensions wrong and the dishwasher wouldn’t fit in. Can I cancel the order (D10107828) please?

  • Hi rep just bought. But now looking at the kitchen. It looks like there's not enough height to just slot in

Is this an average size standard for a dishwasher or a large or a small?

Can I cancel if bought tonigh

Also anyone done cabinetry work for a dishwasher. Is it expensive and will the savings of say $400 be enough for electrician and cabinetry cutting? Is there one person like a dishwashing installer that can do both?

  • I orderd a white dishwasher and it arrived yesterday with a hole in the box and a massive dent in the side panel

I haven't tried plugging it in to see if it works. Not sure I will bother to be honest

But I am not confident in the handling and packaging of this machine which is marked as USED on the side of it and it has clearly been used

What is the return policy like?

    • Plugged it in. Normal wash is 2 hours 45 minutes. Only put a couple of cups of vinegar in to clean it.

      At least it didn't leak

  • Gah mine has been delivered to the wrong address! It says delivered on the tracking, but it ain't here, and we were home at the time it says it was delivered anyway.

  • I got one of these.
It came with a big dent on the side.
A shhet inside machine indicating that it had been tested. So it lloks like a refurb.
    Plus it doesnt work.
Ive done three cycles and all times its stopped with an eoor and its full of water which i have to bucket out.
Steer clear of this machine its a lemon

  • +3

Very happy with mine, washes beautifully and absolutely no damage. Stilll has sticker on door and seemed like only use was maybe a rinse cycle to test. Very quiet and love the cutlery drawe! Thanks op

  • Bought one, hasnt arrived yet :\

  • We have 1 left in stock then no more, if anyone is looking to get one.

Still a few more white left.

  • I ordered one on the 5th of April, still yet to be delivered.

    • HI, Please give our call centre a call for an update 1800 126 659 thanks.
