Bridgestone Buy 3 Tyres and Get 4th Free on Potenza, Turanza Serenity Plus

1350

The Potenza and Turanza Serenity deal started today.

Looks like the buy 3 get 4th tyre free deal is back on for Bridgestone Potenza, Turanza Serenity Plus.

Too bad they don't have the Duelers as I'm getting those for my wifes car.

Offer is also available at Bob Jane and Jax who are usually happy to price match Tempe Tyres etc. Just need an AMEX deal for the cherry on top!

edit: to clarify, there is no current AMEX deal, I am just wishing there was. Jax had a spend $400 get $100 back a little while ago, so hoping something similar comes by again.

  • Bugger just bought MY PS4s, would have liked to try the Potenzas

    • +1

I can only compare PS2s vs the Potenza Adrenaline RE002. I've found the PSs to be a much nicer ride in comparison. Potentially also longer lasting compared to the Adrenalines. BUT….The Adrenelines have tended to be cheaper in comparison for my tyre size.

Nah Michelin are miles in front IME.

      • is there ever deal like this for Michelin tyres esp PS4? looking to replace mine towards the end of year..

          • @Steptoe: not as good of a deal then..
mazda 6 wagon. normal city drive. is michellin ps4 overkill?

            • +1

@OzFrugie: Yeah it's overkill. Potenza in particular is not suited to it IMO, they are for cars and drivers who value grip and road feedback at the expense of comfort and lifetime.

PS4 is better in that regard as it's closer to a touring tyre but it's still more than you need. Primacy 3 or 4 would be better IMO. Turanza is equivalent from Bridgestone.

      • Michelin PRIMACY 3 or one of the Bridgestone ?

        • Primacy are perfect for an everyday kinda car.

          • @[Deactivated]: primacy 3 or 4 better?

            • @OzFrugie: Each interation is an improvement, but not by miles.

    • +1

@Big1 no loss there - PS4 is amazing. I'll be getting them next. I've got RE003s now, they've been very good for the price but would rather spend more on the PS4.

  • +1

I know 3 parts of fark all about tyres but it seems my 2011 Elantra takes 195/65R15 sizes which don't seem to match anything in the link. I'm shit outta luck yeah?

    • +3

Potenza is overkill for Elantra I think. Unless you do track days with it.

    • +1

      Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus TL
      195/65R15 91H
These tyres match and are really long wearing, put them on my car and they are excellent.

  • have anyone got quotes for RE003s? And i wonder if this deal is valid at Costco..
also what is the amex deal that is mentioned by OP?

    thanks

    • I replaced my tyres before Christmas during the last promo and received a quote for $241 per tyre for the RE003s from Bridgestone Select and $245 from Bob Jane.

Don't know if it was a good price though, but really happy with them. Very grippy.

      • +6

        Pricing without sizing is meaningless

    • +1

Yep, deal is valid is costco at the moment, I dropped past Ringwood tonight and they had the sign out again.

I used this same deal at Costco just before Christmas, picked up some 235/40 R18 RE003 for my Focus ST for a total of 554.94 which I thought was a pretty decent price. Works out to be $138.73 per tyre fitted (lifetime rotations, puncture repairs and nitrogen refills).

I'm pretty sure I saw a few of the online retailers selling them for around $230 per tyre at the time.

      • Yeah that's a very good price, it's normally about $200 give or take for similar sizing

      • That’s dirt cheap!

      • +1

When you say deal is at Costco at the moment, do you mean the buy 3 Bridgestones get 1 free? Only deal mentioned on the Costco coupons mailed out yesterday is the Michelin $100 off.

Just wondering if they’re matching the Bridgestone deal, as I’d love to get the deal you did! Thanks.

        • Yep, they definitely had the buy 3 get 1 free Bridgestone sign out at the front of the tyre centre.

    • Last time this deal was on Costco would take 25% off the total, and not simply give you the cheapest free. This is better if you have staggered tyres.

  • What’s Anex deal mate ?

  • +5

I have RE003s and have done around 20,000kms and I've already been told I should think about replacing them. Nice, grippy tyre, but you chew through them. Cards on the table, I have an XR5 so YMMV.

    • +1

You must be driving really hard cos I've got RE003s on both a Focus XR5 and a Fiesta ST and they've worn nowhere near as quick!

      • I figure a rotation might be okay for another 10,000! Should get on that! We're an XR5-FiST fam too!

    • VE wagons also chew through tyres, specifically the rear passenger tyre.

    • +1

Different experience for me I've done over 40,000 on mine with regular rotations and still got plenty of tread (Subaru Impreza).

    • I’ve read lots of people are only getting 30,000kms, which turned me off. Ended up getting PS4’s for my car instead for approx $710 for four 235/40/18. Bob Jane tried convincing me to get RE003’s for my wife’s Tiguan but I wanted the Dueler HP Sport since we got 78,000kms (and still has 1.5mm left) from the factory set. Wife does 25,000kms a year so these would barely last a year!

      • I have done 35K using 235/40/R18 on my Lexus fronts, and they are due for a replacement within next 6 months.

    • Me too. 20000km and about 18mths old. Bridgestone rep told me, must maintain psi of 40 amd even then lucky to see 30000kms out of them. Would have been nice for them to tell me that when selling them to me.

    • I've done 50,000 km in Turanza Serenity Plus and they are only half worn with the complimentary rotations from Bridgestone. Will easily get >80,000 km.

  • +1

RE003 in 205/55 R16 is really priced well. $144 each. Would buy again. Just picked up my set.

  • Sorry its pretty new for me, does it include with installation cost? If not, can I buy and bring them to kmart auto or local repair?

    • +2

Usually does, wheel alignment extra though.

      • Thanks for confirming, this a good deal

        • +1

You do have to shop around still - as some shops will raise the unit price so you're not exactly getting one free…

  • What are Serenity Plus like as tyres? Good family car tyres? Quiet?

    • +2

Yes, fairly quiet and still quite grippy

      • Is it better than Michelin PRIMACY 3 ?

    • I have a set on my car. Quiet, still quite grippy, don't squeal, but they're rated as an 'eco' product yet my car burns a about 5% more fuel then when fitted with Ecopia tires.

    • Had them on my Honda Accord Euro. Confirm that is is relatively quiet and good grip in wet. Lasted me about 50,000km and it's time to change them. Would not hesitate getting another set.

  • Looking to replace tyres on my Holden Cruze SRI-V MY14. Currently wearing 235/45/R18 BS RE050A.

Any recommendations that are a little bit better value then the current set?

    • Damn. Genuinely surprised Holden put tyres that large on a Cruze.
RE003 are good value and I haven't found them to age as badly as the RE050A either.

  • What’s a reasonably good tyre for Nissan Xtrail T32 2015 2WD guys? Car is mainly used by the mrs to and from work. Any recommendation? Thanks in advance.

    • Pirelli Scorpion Verde. Kmart beat Tempe tyres price for 225/60r18.

  • Nice, was about to get some PS4s back on to the RE003s.

  • I have a 2010 Mazda 6 Classis sedan which came with Potenzas. I replaced them at 45k and am now at 90k so due to replace them. I’ve been more than happy with Potenzas but a friend reckons I should go with the Turanzas. OB’ers, your recommendations will be warmly welcomed.

    • Yeah I have a similar style car - 2011, 118 Kw 4 pot sedan - I'll be going for the Turanzas as the Potenzas seem to be overkill. Had I had a performance car, then it would be different.

  • Thanks OP. Good deal, even if they are repeated along with other manufacturers. Good timing as I will be needing a new set in a month or so. I'll wait for another couple of weeks to see if something better comes up.

  • Our rear tyres are due for a replacement in a few weeks. The front ones have a little more life, but we may as well replace them if the price is right. How does Bridgestone/Firestone compare to BF Goodrich?
    https://tinyurl.com/y2oby9hy

  • Does Kmart matchs this offer? I remember some people got a good deal matching with same offer

    • parramatta did not. they said they avoid doing bridgestone and tried to push another brand.

    • +1

I called the contact centre, and for them to match before going to the store. They matched the price on 4 tyres rather than the 3 for 4 deal of that makes sense.

  • Need to replace the tyres on the Mrs Barina. Seems to take 185/55R15 for the 2010 model. Are there any models here worth putting on a Barina or what would be some other suggestions?

  • Thanks OP, car going in on Tuesday for a complete tyre change. 215/60R16 for my Falcon BA wagon . :-)

  • Damn, just in time!

  • Has anybody managed to price match at Bob Jane's or Jax AND get the bridgestone promotion?
As I was looking on Bob Jane's website and their price match guarantee excludes combining it with any other offer…

  • Got a quote for 205/55/16 Turanzas for the wife's Kia Cerato at $150 each.
    Seems expensive imo.

    • I have the same profile and tyre (Turanza Serenity Plus) fitted to my Toyota Corolla; paid $169 each in February 2017 (fourth tyre was $10)

    • Just booked my car in for next week with the same tyres. They quoted me $145 a tyre. All up including wheel balancing $500. Which is about $160 less than if I went with the Italian P7's that came with the car.

  • Any suggestions for Toyota Camry altise 2009 tyres?
I drive roughly 5-6 KMs everyday. Occasionally long drive(100-200 KMs).

In past 3 years I've driven 7000 KMs.
I've no idea about which tyres/model are suitable.
    Please advise.
