  Sounds like a good deal but MyBook external drives are overpriced in my opinion.

  What's wrong with the simple and cheaper WD Elements external drives? Nothing.

    Probably.. I have swapped 1tb and 2tb drives in different cases and have never had an issue.

      I actually think this might be better for me to connect to my Samsung TV as it is externally powered which I think is better. Then I can use the TV as a PVR.

        Agreed if that's what you want to use the drive for. I have heard of situations where the USB powered ones don't work (or work properly) but the external powered ones do.
