Can you put in title "[PC] Steam" please as otherwise one could think it is for consoles as well?
Plus the store normally is at the end of a title

I have updated it, my first submission, I just noticed it and thought other people would be interested in seeing (GMG didn't send out an email from what I could tell).

There is a length limit on the title, if you can suggest better formatting I can edit it to conform.

I had already prepared a post but could not post it as I had posted something in the forums. Not too happy with that but not your fault.

        Here is my title:

I'm new here, didn't mean to step on anyone's toes. I don't typically browse the forums, just the deals page.

If there is any way I can delete and give you the post I don't mind. I just saw it and thought people would like to see it before stock goes.

          • @nazacra: No, don't worry about it. It is a good first post.
Not your fault but the system here - already inquired if it can be changed in the future.

  • Just viewed the site in aud currency. Is it just me or did they mess up conversion. Viewed the recent gmg bundles pricing and the very positive pack is listed at ~aud$380. That is one hell of a markup from the prev listing of usd$15.

    • Looks like half of the bundles aren't available in AUD yet at all.

Seems a bit strange that they wouldn't just directly convert the price to AUD and call it a day.

Those bundle prices look like they could be pretty close to the full price of all the games put together. Like the Origin Pack is $56.42, if you add up all the games in it it is $57.67. Maybe their pricing algorithm hasn't converted sales properly? It is a bit hard to tell for the rest of the bundles because most of them have some games in this $1 sale.

      • yeah, that was what i thought as well. It's pretty horrible. I wonder if their aud merchant is still processing overseas if that's the case ozzie banks will be charging international transaction fees on the transaction.

  • Magicka is fun for $1.

    Better with a friend.

  • For those who missed out on Killing Floor, it can be had for $1.90 from cdkeys.com

    https://www.cdkeys.com/pc/games/killing-floor-pc-steam-cd-ke…

  • I still prefer USD dollars as sites like Fanatical.com use a static conversion rate which is normally lower than the standard Visa/Mastercard daily rate.

It can be a difference of $2-3 AUD more in actual price.

I have a credit card that doesn't charge the bank fee and from a pure conversion USD to AUD, nine times out of ten is the direct conversion price cheaper than their own static conversion rate.

Some sites allow flexibility to select your currency preferences but for some sites they detect on IP address and normally filter VPN IP address ranges because they claim users are purchasing in commercial quantities which might only account for <1% of total user base. Also the fact that they also have to protect regional pricing (EU only) and availability in some countries (due to sensitivity or sanctions list).

While it might be a welcome change for those who pay 3-5% bank fees it pays to find a bank that offers a credit/debit card that doesn't charge the international bank fee.

  • Anything that looks good other than Magicka and Mount & Blade?

    • Adrift if you have VR.

    • Tower 57
      Toybox Turbos
      Beat Cop
