Garmin Drive 61LMT-S 6.1' GPS, $159.20 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ The Good Guys eBay

130
PGUYS20

Does sometimes pop up at $199 and will definitely have limited appeal in this day and age of apps, but if anyone, like me, wants a slightly larger screen (6.1") dedicated windscreen/dashboard mounted GPS, then this seems a good solid entry level model with the typical features that at least I was looking for…of course YMMV.

  • Prefer one with a wireless reverse camera. But a dedicated GPS is good because it saves the phone from Australian sun

Incoming comments on dinosaur tech being superseded by mobile waze/gmaps and P-plater still requires it.

    • Apparently this Garmin Drive pairs with the BC™ 30 Wireless Backup Camera (sold separately)

Oh jeez. Guess i read wrong.
It can connect to wireless camera.

I'll leave the comment to show my mistake.
        Thanks

  • For a moment, I thought this is the Drivesmart version.

Due to ACCC or something it is now worded different in the fine print.

      From Garmin:

"Updates are included at no additional cost and will be provided (1) for as long as the device has sufficient memory and other technical capabilities to utilize the most current map or traffic data (as applicable) or (2) until Garmin’s map or traffic data supplier (as applicable) ceases to provide updates to Garmin for any reason, whichever is shorter. Updates are not transferable to other Garmin devices and are limited to the geographic areas included upon purchase of the product."
