  • it's all sold unfortunately.

      Nah, still 4 left !

  • I'm still confused by all the Mavics now. Which one is the best?

    • -1

      Still many left mate!

    • +2

DJI Mavic Pro is the old version, the successor model is the Mavic Pro 2.

      • -1

And that cost more than double of this!

        • Yes it's a great price, but I was just answering beatsntoons' question.

    • +7

Mavic 2 Pro - has 1" sensor and fixed focal length. Most expensive but best IQ. $2499 RRP
Mavic 2 Zoom - has smaller sensor but 2x optical zoom. $1999 RRP
Mavic Pro - 1st gen. same sized sensor as 2 Zoom but with fixed focal length.

I've flown a 2 Zoom several times and love having the zoom functionality. But I'm a tightass so I snapped one of these $800 Pros for myself.

  • Is this the best price the Mavic Pro has ever been? Especially considering Aussie stock?

    • I think so. It is definitely a few hundred cheaper than when I got it from a Ted Ebay sale.

    • +1

The flymore was $950 once during ebay sale. That was amazing.

      • Yeah I tried to get that but sold something like 300 units in an hour and I missed out by a few hours. That was overseas stock though, not that it matters really although there might have been GST on it?

        • No GST for under $1000 I presume.

          • @Umar511986: I think it was when the new GST rules came in, but it might have been just before. Either way was a super deal.

        • That was overseas stock though, not that it matters really

Apparently DJI doesn't have international warranties. That would make me a bit nervous if I spent that much money on a toy.

          • @MrTweek: dcxpert is CR Kennedy and is an authorised dealer, so you should be good on the warranty front
Getting DJI to admit manufacturing detect vs blaming the pilot is another story entirely. Also suggest any newbies buy care refresh as you're likely to crash it doing something stupid.

            • +1

@BargainKen: Mr Tweek was referring to the grey stock with the $950 fly more deal. But yeah agree, most regret not getting the care refresh.

              • +1

@Hazza: Oh yes I recall that one. I had the opportunity but already owned one (full price) so I passed. You can still buy it after 48hrs but need to submit a verification video showing its not crashed/fully working order.

The regrets usually come after the crash. :)

It was 2017 so no gst back then. Sold out in minutes. I got one, used it a handful of times and made $400 profit a year later.😃

  • Sold out again.. I was about to pay!!!

    • keep an eye, they might restock soon.

      • I hope so T.T

      • Back in stock again at 5pm.

        Thanks, great deal.

  • No Stok!

  • good find but not enough stock though

  • +1

Record low price for a Mavic Pro?

  • Damn Im to late

    • Back in stock again

  • Got my shipping notification, booyah.

  • just got shipping notification, thanks OP

  • NOOOOOO, I missed this good deal!!!

    • Back in stock again, hurry

  • Back in stock again!!

  • Can the GST be claimed through TRS?

    • +1

Yes, the description says tax invoice will be included.

  • Crikey I miss it.

    • back in stock

  • Wow fastest shipping ever. Ordered 12:30pm yesterday, arrived 9am this morning.

    • got mine 2, charging the battery atm!

  • Mine delivered to non-metro NSW already too. Box is sealed but it's certainly seen better days!

I'm just gutted that I can't claim TRS by a week, as the GST on the invoice is $90 which would make it $709!

    • some interesting comments in this thread, states there can be box damage but product is guaranteed: https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1919406

I know CR Kennedy well, the DCXPERT ebay site is just their cheeky way of selling direct to customers whilst pretending they don't. It's the same stock they distribute to their wholesale clients. Sony and others do it too, almost none of the 'damaged box' stuff on ebay is actually damaged box.

My box isn't too bad, just a bit dirty and scuffed up.

        • My package is dirty too, i thought i bought a used drone before i unboxed it.

          • +1

@333333wade: mine battery dint work, keep charging with a single blink. Couldn't turn on the Mavic after several attempts. Waiting for a reply from the seller.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: have you tried to press once, then press again and hold for 2 secs?

              • @333333wade: did everything, even tried DJI Assistant app on PC. Battery keeps blinking at level 1 while charging.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: Mine did this too - I contacted CR Kennedy and got a replacement battery.

              • @S3ISOR: I returned my unit and will be getting a replacement unit. Lets see what happens with the new one.

                • @[Deactivated]: My replacement battery arrived and did the same thing originally - the first LED flashed one and off. After about 5-10 minutes of charging with the flashing LED, it started charging properly. The batteries in the drones must have been sitting around for a long time with no charge. I've used the battery in the drone once now and it worked well.

EDIT: And fortunately, my box arrived with no dust or marks on it - it must've been sitting in the middle of other boxes or something.

                  • @S3ISOR: I charged overnight and still didn't work.

                    • @[Deactivated]: what happens is that to charge a battery it need at least a tinny bit of charge in the battery , so those battery must have been completely depleted , so one way to make it work is everytime to plug it in charger it gets a little boost of charge ,so you need to plug it in charger for like 10 sec and remove it and do it again for like 10times , everytime you do this u giving it a little boost and eventually it will have enough power to start charging ,hope it helps

                      • +1

@hitman48: Thanks for info, non of the youtube video mentioned that. I have returned my unit and waiting for replacement unit.

        • CR Kennedy sell to the public. They were also at Avalon air show selling DJI drones at full price.

          https://crkphotoimaging.com.au/categories/_crk-products/uava…

Prices are usually just RRP. They also sell wholesale to the likes of Officeworks.

          • @BargainKen: Yeah the DCXPERT thing is just a charade for when they sell direct below RRP, which pisses retailers off immensely.

  • Mine arrived today… Super super quick postage!!!!

  • back in stock, yes got one

  • Got mine this morning. The box looks stayed in warehouse for ages, very dirty.

  • for those that got theirs, did it come with a USB-C connector in the controller, along with lightning and micro-USB?

    • +1

A new unit should have all 3. It also has a full sized USB A port on the bottom if you prefer.

  • in stock again 6 available

  • Sorry for silly question.

I'd like to buy this one and fly more kit for Mavic Pro (Not Mavic 2 Fly more kit) but I couldn't find any of them.
Can someone else give me a link or message please?

    Thanks!

  • Ordered Weds arvo, shipped Thurs, arrived today. Well packed, Mavic box was a bit scuffed but everything was fine. Batteries in controller and drone were very flat, but charged up ok.
