  • I got nova 3i for around $340. Speaker is not as good. Oppo ax5 has better speaker, bought for mum around $300.

    • The lack of fast charge on the 3i took the phone off the table for my partner.

      Haven't looked much into oppos.

  • Was looking at both 3e and 3i. Ended up with the nokia 7.1 (NFC is a big + for me). Paid $349 at JB Hi-fi

    • Yeah I was really wanting to get the missus the Nokia 7 plus, $429 ATM from Harvey, but wanted the Huawei as it was smaller.

      • Yep. Smaller, thinner and a fair bit lighter too. Just have to accept the notch.

          Never bothered me.
Speaker lacks a bit, but good dual camera and lightweight.
$389 just under a year ago.

@Spending2Much: Sounds like your getting your moneys worth ( only $80 more ) for using new phone for nearly a year.

    • How did you get it for $10 less than their current sale?

Assume you talking to me ozhunter? I just asked can they a better price. Saleslady looked on the PDA and said they can't discount much further most they can do is $10. I said deal. :)

          I would say " a great deal " :-)

a phone with no nfc ….it’s 2019 not 2015 , nfc isn’t really an expensive component and even a lot of supermarket burners have nfc …..

      • i really love nfc righ now.. rarely use before and really into nfc.

        • You're using NFC how? Is it ideal?

          • +1

@Spending2Much: the coffee shop at my work uses nfc for the loyalty program ….6th coffee is free and they also do loyalty on lunches bought …and also takes payments from nfc ….so everybody i know at my work uses their phone to pay for their coffees ….much easier than using credit card to pay and paper card to track coffees bought …..

melbourne public transport now also supports nfc to taping on and off.
