Can these be refilled with any handsoap?

The soap refill bottle design can be easily opened and refilled using 3rd party foaming refills.

But foaming type only! Not liquid type

  • Same question as above and plus it is 2 or 3 times more expensive than the normal one, which performs the same apart of the XiaoMi logo.

Dettol foaming hand wash appears to work well. Can be found on Amazon & local supermarkets at various price discounts.

To (self refill) the Xaiomi bottle its handy to use a small screwdriver/device to leverage the clip on cap off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YssnDSLcRQY.

  • Thanks OP, bought 2 dispenser, like the 3rd party foaming refills function. Your voucher made a good deal as well. Tnx.

Got these on last deal, They are fantastic. Aldi foaming refilll 500 ml (about 2x refill) for about $2-3 or mix your own. The lid can be a bit hard to open again. It clip on by 4 clips, best to get a sharp blade and cut the 4 clip down a bit before you close it for easy removal.

  • thank OP!

  • Any smartmi toilet seats on deal?

FWIW I've had good success turning normal liquid hand soap (i.e. normal pump dispenser) to "foaming soap" by diluting it with 50% water 50% soap.

  • Thanks OP. Got 2.

  • I have two of these, they're fantastic. I just top it up with dettol foaming soap that I buy on half price from woolies when empty.

Do you find the $28 investment worth it to save you the trouble of pressing a button?

      Serious question.

Xiaomi is no longer making cheap stuff for what you're getting.

      • I bought it while I was in HK - it was $30 for two when paying with Alipay.

  • Need a deal on the night sensor light please…

Anyone who bought this, i have 5 at home and i refill them with normal hand gel mixed with water. They worked very well.

It saved me a lot of money and keep my kids wash their hands before and after food.

    Cheers.

Instructions. Fill empty foaming soap dispenser with water, approximately 4/5 full. Fill remaining space with a liquid soap of your choice (and glycerine and essential oils, if using) being careful not to get too close to the top. Shake gently to mix and use. Note: you definitely do not want to add the soap first.

  • Got mine and it works well.
Just wondering if anyone’s package was already opened? The little clear sticker sealing the white box was already cut and there were no batteries inside, is it because they had to remove them for importing here?
Lucky I had some spare eneloops (doesn’t everyone?).

    • A portion of the shipment was inspected at the shipping end before coming to Australia, for this batch the batteries removed as even AA are considered dangerous explosives for shipping purpose.

Sincere apologies but I hope people always have some eneloops around

      • No problems, just thought I'd ask :)

    • Same here, hand wash liquid was emptied and no batteries.

      • Hi yltsl

Some of the batteries were removed that we are aware of, however liquid shouldn't be empty. Can you PM me with your order details and we'll investigate for you.

The liquid costs almost $10 each bottle so that's quite an issue.

        Kind regards

  • Just updating, within a month of using the foam cleansers, they have both died on me. The first one died and Amazon were nice enough to ask me not to return the item. However today the 2nd one has also died on me with the EXACT same issue. The hand sensor seems to be broken somehow. When I hover my hand under it, the light blinks for a split 0.2 sec and nothing comes out. Tried changing batteries but no luck. A shame they broke down so quick. They were good while they lasted but not sure if I would re-buy considering 2 out of 2 broke. :(

      Hi Manicmoon,

Sorry to hear about that, please do proceed to request for a refund and return if necessary so that we can inspect what the particular issue is with the units you received.

The test units we've been using in-house have been running for more than 4 months and still going strong as new, so definitely interested to find out the root cause of failure.

      Apologies for the inconvenience.

      Kind regards

      • Thanks for that. Amazon have confirmed I don't need to return the items as they deem it would be not necessary to. I can still return it though but not sure if you guys would receive the item from Amazon for inspection?
