Toblerone Milk Chocolate 360g NZ $4.90 (A $3.92) @ Aelia Duty Free (Cairns, Adelaide & NZ International Airports)

890

Edit - now A$3.92 if pickup from Cairns/Adelaide or NZ$4.90 from NZ airports. Not 1 cent but still cheaper than supermarkets ($7 and $9 at Woolworths and Coles respectively).

Edit #2 - I was able to order this for pick up mid-June in Cairns. Looks like the order just needs to be done in April.

Saw this deal on ChoiceCheapies and thought it might benefit those that are travelling to NZ in April. Order here, pickup in NZ.

I've tested this and confirmed working. I went through the process right up to the end but didn't make the payment. Definitely had no issues with me arriving into Auckland from Australia.

Put the Toblerone into your cart (360g $16.90)
View your cart
There will be a discount of $16.89 so you only need to pay 1 cent

This is only for pick up from a NZ international airport for April (Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Queenstown).

Enjoy NZ!

I managed to score a flight tomorrow morning to Christchurch with the return later in the day. Only $890.01 + all day parking for that Toblerone.

    • A+ for effort!

    • should have booked in business class so you can do a status run at the same time, maybe add a few connections as well to maximize the status credit potential :D

      • Nah, I prefer to use MEL-MQL-MEL for my status runs.

  • wow, thanks. Just happened to be flying there on Monday!

  • Seems to work for cairns, confirmed. May also work for Adelaide and Perth too. Can pickup on departure or arrival.

    • Pickup in Cairns?

    • Coming up as out of stock for Perth.

    • Didn't work for me at cairns airport, did you put any code etc

      • Correction, was able to order

Was curious to know the actual value of the choc bar… a search in Woolworths shows it sells for just $7. I guess the $16.90 is just airport pricing.

For a second there I felt sorry for their error, until you see their extortionate ordinary price.

Do you think the quality of this chocolate has dropped over time? They're okay but when I was a kid I remember them being way better. Not sure if just kid chocolate nostalgia or if Cadbury bought them out and dropped production quality

  • Going to Queenstown next week. This deal is very convenient

  • I can attest mointain climbing and Toblerone go well together.

    A+ OP.

  • Is there a limit on quantity? How many do you need to buy to ‘pay’ the airfare? :-)

Let’s say a typical special price here is $4. Airfare, what? $400 return? 100 blocks. Weighs 36kg - ooh, just squeezes in if you have very light luggage, maybe carry a few in pockets and eat a few there.

Just checked, no multiples. Just saved Labor’s health plan billions.

Lol, are you forecasting the election already? I thought Liberal was in power…

      • Well, it’s kinda like the Libs saying there’s a budget surplus, just like they have for the last xx years. It’s actually BS and merely a forecast for next year (they didn’t really double the national debt honest injun).

        • Without getting too political in a thread about chocolate, personally I think that Liberal is doing a pretty sucky job.. Either that, or Labor is bringing a lot to the table where Liberal isn't.

          • @pennypincher98: Correct and hopefully people can see that and see through crap like the ‘jeez mate they wanna take your Ute!’ Mind you Shorten as PM,
I just can’t see it. He can’t talk properly, or very well. His delivery is so clunky. Should be Tania Plebysek (spelling?)

            • @wfdTamar: Yeah Shorten is not the right guy for the job. But Labor is the right party for it.

  • I am flying to Cairns mid next month, not sure if I can order online now?

    • I'm flying in June and was able to order and pickup for 1 cent.

      • but did you say when you are gonna pick up?

  • Remember to use your 28 Degrees card to avoid the 3% cc fee (on NZ$0.01).

They also give 22% off from your orders with the code SECRET22.

looks like they would be paying us for buying toblerone

Whatever happened to the fruit n nut one or whatever it was.

Will they only let you pick it up if you have an international flight?

    • No, I ordered for domestic flight

      • And your order didn't get cancelled? Someone else mentioned that theirs did as they were flying domestic

        • no

        • Now it is cancelled, saying it's only for international lounge access which you can not do on domestic flight

  • Looks like the deal has been nerfed. Coming up at $4.90 now.

Adelaide airport is slightly more, pity I'm not flying there any time soon.

    • Was showing up as the 1 cent this morning, but didn't check out as i'm not a seasoned traveller and don't know how duty free works as per my question above (thanks kind stranger for negging my valid question).

      • It'll ask you for your passport and flight details when you're checking out.

    • Got the call from duty free Adelaide shopping centre. Its available only if you are flying on International flight. I ordered one as I was flying from adelaide to Melbourene next week. Order got cancelled

  • On a side note, where can I go to shop at duty free at Sydney Int'l Airport online? Or is such a thing not possible? I wanted to compare chocolate and alcohol prizes before I travel.

  • So these are $10 full price at supermarkets.. or $5 when they are a half price special..so not really that good of a deal really

    • The original deal was one cent. It's been amended

      • Should have been marked as expired or sold out and a new deal posted. Now it looks like $3.92 for 360g of toblerone is a really good deal.

  • I picked up my $0.01 Toblerone from Auckland airport yesterday.
Even better, it was delivered by a robot, so I didn't have to face the "oh so you are one of those Ozbargainers" glare from an assistant.
    Win!
