[NSW] Half-Price Cat Adoptions $85 @ Campbelltown Pound

430

From the website:

"EACH CAT IS $85 WHICH INCLUDES DESEXING, VACCINATIONS AND LIFETIME REGISTRATION WITH CAMPBELLTOWN COUNCIL.
The pound has taken some amazing initiative and have started reducing kitties once they are starting to fill up and if certain cats have been in the pound just too long. Each cat posted below is $85 however this still includes the same adoption package of desexing, vaccinating and registration. Remember when it was $240? The pound is listening and we need to show them this is working. Please head on down to the pound tomorrow and adopt anyone of these sweethearts…before an urgent list arises.

  • What's with all these cat adoptions?

Too many irresponsible people not desexing cats.

Also irresponsible people letting their cats out.

I've heard that kitten season was unusually bad this year. More stray kittens being found by rangers and more kittens being surrendered to pounds than usual :(

      Supply/demand.

89 posts and nothing but cats

  • Ruthless predators responsible for untold billions of deaths of other native animals.

Man, you seem to know a lot about ameebaro. You should really report them to the authorities.

    • My former cat was a stray. I don't think I ever saw her successfully hunting any native animals, and most animals she 'hunted' were already poisoned/half dead. She got a few mice I think, and maybe an introduced bird or so?

Also, my current cat has zero hunting skills, and mews or chirps at birds if they're nearby. They laugh at her. (the birds that tend to laugh are non-natives btw). She's come face-to-face with possums but was too chicken to do anything more.

Australia could do with a few less mice/introduced birds.

Also, a few less possums. I happened to like the insides of my roof cavity not pooed and urinated in.

Came here for the cheap (profanity) jokes…left disappointed.

What did you expect someone to say?

      "Expensive dinner lol xD"

      Or JV style:

      $85/pound for cat is expensive.

      • Was expecting the comments to be a little more low-brow than that. Maybe that just reveals something about my own psyche though.

Both my cats were rescues; can't imagine my life without them now. They're so precious.

If you're thinking about getting a cat, or dog for that matter, please consider adopting!

  • Miaow!

    • Who is feeding you now that Julian is locked up?

  • driveaway price, nice

  • Cat adoption is also free outside KFC / Red Rooster.
