I have these, very happy and supposedly on par with bose, but i think a little uglier.
I think these look better than boring Bose and Sony egg shells. Looks is subjective. There are so many people with Bose and Sony. Love mine BC it's different
I think they the ugliest of them all.
Liking something because is 'different' is a hipster argument.
I've had these. Got them in a similarly good deal and they feel great for the price. The sound is great, the ANC works really well and they're very comfy.
Only negatives I'd say are:
- I don't like that the hinge is the on/off switch. In practice it's kind of annoying and finnicky.
- My set stopped working after about 8 months. They just stopped turning on (probably a failure of the hinge power on function). Took 'em back to JB though and they gave me a fresh pair on the spot with a new warranty period started too, so that's good.Good review. I have these and I love the hinge on/off switch. I like how they are slightly smaller than Bose and Sony too even tho the ANC is said to be slightly not as good as those. Could do with better sound isolation IMO, but I love it.
So many reviews, the sony, bose and this must all be pretty similar. Actually , according to Choice listening score with ANC is best on Sony, then Sennheiser with Bose QC35 last. Overall rating was in same order.
I have been thinking about trading these in for a pair of BT earbuds like Jabra 65T tho, I think the noise isolation will be better and for flights it will be easier to sleep with those on than with a headphone.
@hippo2s: These Comply foam tips will help with better isolation with buds.
Check measurements with your current buds to get the correct size (also on their official site they have the info on all the types.)Disclaimer: these foam tips are quite fragile and degrade quickly with sweat/oiliness (except maybe the sports types), so use them only when you need them (and use your original tips for most situations).
@thebadmachine: Forgot to mention you will need to measure and find the correct core size, as well as tip size.
@thebadmachine: yeah thanks, I have used them before with a set of IE Triplefi. Will wait for the next deal to come up say on Qantas store sale!
Yes…I've come to like the hinge switch, though I was worried about how well it would stand the test of time. Ok so far.
These are great headphones, I'm very happy with mine.
+1 on them being awesome! Have had mine for almost 2 years and love them. They are expectedly on par when it comes to the sound quality - the best part is that they are awesome for taking work conference calls (mic is super awesome)
Also it's a sturdy unit - I have always carried them without the case for flights (in laptop bag). So far they are surviving the rough handling.Isn't the 12% cashback capped at $50?
Yes so 261 - 12% = 229 which is saving of 31 still under capped discount
were are you getting 12percent cashback? Isnt Cashrewards say UP TO 10% and for electronics accessories it says 5%?
I wondered the same thing as I purchased it and it was only 10% cash back.
Have a pair of these. Nice sound and NC isolation but for me they are not that comfortable. After a couple of hours with them on they start to feel very uncomfortable. Don't know why and my head size seems pretty average. Strange cause most people think they are very comfy.
I have the same experience with my pair.
Cheers OP :)
I was tempted to buy this one few months back but was more expensive than bose QC 35 (on sale). I went with bose but i find it keeps sliding down or falling off if i lean forward as it seems to be a bit too big for my small head. Re-think about buying this one again. Is this more suitable on the airplane? I read a review saying Bose isn't suitable for flight but no explanation.
Both are suitable for flights.
Went on an overseas holiday with my partner, she used these, I used the QC35. We swapped for a little to try out how each work, and both work perfectly fine in airplanes, it's what they're designed for.
Thanks. Yes I used Bose exclusive for flights as I travel quite a bit. I just wasn’t sure what a review on Amazon was complaining about boss not suitable on flight. I didn’t find it able to control the volume of the inflight system with Bose button. Do you have that problem?
To be perfectly honest… I never use in-flight systems, as I have a 400GB microsd in my phone and take my 3DS as well, so I only use those screens to see information on the flight itself. Sorry I can't help there.
I wouldn't be surprised if most inflight entertainment systems don't support inline controls though.
I love these. This is a sensational price for these headphones. They were never available at this lowest price. This is the first headphones with all the smart features which were later copied by other brands and now became common place.
Any use for these if I already have the sonys?
Only if you are Tasmanian.
Not at all, stick with the Sony's.
Also, username checks out :)
If you want something that sounds better than the Sony's in this price-range, get an amp and a passive headset like the Beyer DT770.
Just noticed they they also have the bluetooth dongle that suits these, for a little under $70. That's a good price, and kinda sorta turns them into a pair of MB-660's (the business model). Apparently it makes the experience a whole lot better for computer use. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00JFOLC6I/ref=ppx_od_d…
aptX codec only.
Got a pair of these. Main gripe probably touch controls tad bit too sensitive when lying on pillow.
Does anyone know when the deal expires?
I have been following Amazon yesterday its was 369 and three days back 329 cant say anything mate
Hi Kista,
Amazon is price matching Bing Lee's 25% off headphones deals
Offer ends: 28/04/2019
Hope this helps.
No cash back though
The momentum wireless were around 250 a while back, would be a better buy
very good price for a very good product. this is the most comfortable headset from this brand I have ever tested, can wear them for hours without issues.
How does warranty work on these? Can’t seem to find the details on the page.
just Google Sennheiser warranty. These come with 2 years warranty. Just email their AU support. Office is in Chatswood :)
Received mine don't forget to download the CapTune app. With a bit of tweaking these sound great especially the vocals. NC more than decent and comfy as well.
Thanks OP.It's a good deal plus 12% Shopback cashback.
Can't beat it.
