    • they deduct $3

      • Not mine. I even got my level 3 bonus on top.

  • does the credit expire? what if i trade in my controller now and buy a new one when they go on sale later? How long can I wait?

no expiry date for store credit

I traded in two today and they gave me an EB Games gift card for the value.

  • Do they offer cash (or money into debit) for this deal? I know there's the usual 20% cut, have a bunch of controllers I could offload and have no need for store credit.

    • Depends what state you live in

      • Ended up working in Victoria, $34 for an Xbox One controller with the LVL4 bonus after 20%.

        • Easy way to calculate the cash value with level 4: don't include your 20% Level 4 bonus. Cash is -20%.

Thanks for posting, traded in an old PS4 controller for $48 ($40 + lvl4 bonus).

I only paid $25 for the controller, lol.

Got $32 cash for a red ds4 I never used. Happy with that🙂

    • I was offered cash too but the trade in amount was 44($4 extra for level 2) if i took store credit and $35 if i took cash.

20% lower than trade in amount. I took store credit. I will just buy a controller when it goes on sale😆

      $44 for a 4 year old controller is huge😂

Thanks OP. Traded in my XB1 controller for $44, price matched JB for Days Gone and only paid $22.

Really appreciate you posting this. I took 3x xbox360 controllers in and got $51.

Just Incase anyone was wondering, they pressed all the buttons, but they didn’t try to turn them on. They deducted 2 bucks each because I only had the play and charge battery in 2 of them and didn’t have the cables for them. I got bonus credit for being level 3.

  • Has anyone traded theirs in WA? I just went in store and she said I HAD to use the store credit straight away today and that WA does not do trade for cash?

    • I think WA has a law you can’t get cash for trade ins

      • +1

yep traded in my controllers in WA, and they said the same thing, so had to use the store credit straight away. if u dont have anything u want to buy just yet, u can always just put it towards a pre order, and then change it later down the track

        • Couldn't you put it all on a gift card? It's still "spending" the store credit.

          • @silverrat23: good idea. never thought of that. let me know if that works if u try it.

  • My store deducted $2 for not having the cable.
