Philips Multigroom 18 in 1 MG7785/20 $149 Delivered @ Shavershop

30

Got this yesterday from Highpoint, Vic. This model is a bit different from the Mg7770 18 in 1, as this one has a runtime of 6hrs while the latter is 5hrs. A very good trimmer with a steel body and is also showerproof.
Free delivery available in the website or you can head to the store if you want to grab one from there.

Only difference that i see is 1hr run time, is that much of difference? Worth noting that the the previous model got down to $80 last December… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/424182. Not sure if I am convinced this price is worth it. Apologies if i have missed something.

    • I couldn’t find much difference myself apart from the colour and runtime. It is still cheaper now compared to the other model in conjunction with the 10$ off and cashback. There could be more difference that I am not aware of as the price difference between the two is ridiculous.

I have the MG7770/15 18-in-1 and it's absolutely phenomenal. I bought it for $149 from JB, and it's worth every cent. It feels so solid and well made, the finish on every part is top quality, the case as well, just everything. Performance is great, battery life is great, it doesn't make much noise, even the vibrations feels controlled. It's just perfect to me.

Some of the models are plastic bodied and I imagine their build quality is really not amazing, but probably still serviceable depending on your budget and needs.

Any of these philips multigrooms in the premium range - li-ion batteries, metal bodies etc. will be great.

I use mine to trim and groom my beard and keep my body hair in check (specifically, it's great at getting shoulder and back hair without needing someone else to help me). It can be used in the shower but i've never done that.

Anyways, to anyone thinking of getting one of these, I don't think you'd regret it

    • Great write up! I never knew I would be so happy with the purchase of a new trimmer! Very high quality and satisfactory?!

Unless you want to use it to do a stubble thing. It's useless for that. I ended up getting one of their Beardtrimmers as well.

  • Does it come with a stubble trimmer? What's the min length - can it do 0.4mm?

    • From what i could find it has 2 stubble combs (1,2 mm)

  • how do you get the $10

    • When you sign up as a new user at shavershop

    • I still didn't see anything about it when signing up, or subscribing to the newsletter. I did find the code SHAVE10 in their T&Cs page though.

  • Does this one come with the same case as the 7770? Specs say "premium travel case" but it isn't pictured.

    • Yes it comes with a case like the one pictured. The case is really good quality too!

  • Myer Ebay has the previous version with the case MG7770/15

    • Depends on what you want to use it for. I dont have any exp with VS but might be a good option for close stubble trim but the one here is multi groom and covers most features you might need.

      • Thanks for your feedback..
I need one to maintain my stubble… Currently, I am using a Philips QT4005. It works fine but sometimes the blades stop working.
