What's so special about this "deal"? I checked the page and it is comparing low contrast to high and sd to hd….hahaha this is 2019!! it should be hdr and at least 4k! Completely outdated tech and the price is not cheap so, no deal. I would be surprised if anyone does, unless i missed something.

    • +7

      It's $237. Not $2370.

      Not sure what you're expecting.

At this price, the only thing I'd be concerned about is reliability and returns.

OP how does after sales service work?

CONIA is a well known Australian owned consumer electronics brand that has been supplying and servicing the needs of leading Australian retailers since 1999

you only have an email id and a fax number for after sales service
Contact details are limited, for a well known Australian owned consumer electronics brand

I'm worried I buy the tv, find something wrong and then no one answers my email

  • Thanks guys for your comments on the deal.
I believe that $237 including postage for a CONIA 42" FHD LED TV is a really special deal.

This TV features the commercial grade panel with longer lasting hours and high brightness technology, which you can tell straight away comparing with other similar priced TVs

It has standard one year warranty with full parts and labour covered by Conia Service Centre (contact details and address included in the warranty card). Poastage is also covered by Conia Service Centre for warranty return.

      Amazon description

Designed and manufactured commercial grade panels to withstand longer working hours with Energy efficiency at an affordable price up to three years warranty service

How do we increase warranty to upto three years OP?
      thanks

      • 3 years warranty can be registered with Conia Service Centre after purchase at $49.99 only
contact details please see warranty card.

  • conia? it says well known but never heard of it, does it have HDMI?

    • +2

It would've taken you less time to click the link and see the 3 HDMI inputs on the Amazon photo, than it did to type "does it have HDMI"

  • Conia has been mainly dealing with their commercial clients for the past ten years.

This TV has been designed for one of the commercial users that's why it needs longer operation hours and brighter pictures.

It does have 3 HDMI input and can be easily connected to any smart TV sticks.

  • Pretty good price for a second tv

  • High brightness we are talking about is not something simple like can be adjusted by pushing the remote buttons.

it needs different LED panel and accordingly different firmware sollutions to display natural, vivid, sharp and high brightness instead of pale white pictures.

Also to get long operation hours the TV needs high capacity electronic components.

    • wow!…so much different to turning up the brightness on a regular tv

      • +1

if you have a look at the specs of different brand TVs, brightness is one of the important items

        • i'm not sure if it's any kind of special technology though. It's more about the range from deep blacks to the other extreme.

          • @9hundred: It is not that special, just higher brightness 350cd/m2 instead of 150-200 on market

  • +1

Whilst this is a reasonable/good price for a FHD 42" and may suit some Conia hasn't updated their website since 2010 … "1999 - 2010 CONIA Inc. All Rights Reserved" this panel and TV is not reflected there. Amazon may honour the warranty but good luck with Conia and the sales rep.

If you are going down this path you may as well get a soniq or kogan when on special.

    • Thanks for your comments, yes Conia has not been doing much retail for the past 10 years as they mainly dealing with commercial clients.

  • …till 5pm? Amazon says deal just ended??

    • sorry they cant reopen the sale, maybe next time, thanks for your interest, please keep an eye on the model number CLED4278

  • sorry it was 4PM, I am asking if they can open it for another hour…
