OurDeal.com.au Not Responding to Enquiries

Last December I purchased a voucher for Red Rock Noodle Bar which expired on the 16th of May, then in January, I along with the rest of my suburb lost everything in the floods, this included the Red Rock Noodle Bar I nominated to spend my voucher at, as far as I know they still have not opened back up. I have sent 7 enquiries via Ourdeal's contact us page and have not received a response from them. I first contacted them in March, then April and now in May. Here are four of my ticket numbers (#15921), (#18445), (#19668),(#19701). I am getting no luck contacting them so I thought I would post on here and hope a Rep reads this.

  • I sent queries on two different deals to Our Deal. One was for the Shake Sgack in Freo asking for a refund because they were closed when they were supposed to be open and I couldn't find a phone number. The second was for a wine deal with Wine Market that said freight was payable with the vuocher. It wasn't, but I bought it anyway.

    They wrote a couple of weeks after the Shake Shack inquiry and said they'd get back to me. After the wine inquiry, they wrote back saying something that didn't address my concern and that my shake shack inquiry had been answered.

    You should email them and tell them you are going to complain to fair trading or consumer protection and then do it. It's not good enough that they ignore your inquiries, esp when both you and the business have been flood affected.

    I have just received a response from Our Deal promising me a refund.

    I understand they might have a high number of queries, but waiting since March for a response is really poor customer service.

    I think it is sad that I had to take my complaint to a public forum to get a response, I guess I should be thankful that I did indeed get one.

      We received your first email on April 28th to which we sent a response on 9th May advising you that we have escalated your issue to management and will get back to you as soon as we can.

    If not raise the issue in public place, then they will just ignore the email query.

    I feel ourdeals is lacking of customer service as well.

    I purchased the '3 bra' deal but the underwear company emailed me to say the deal was canceled. Ourdeal hasn't replied to my email after 7 days. Where's my refund?!!

  • I bought a dodgy voucher from Our Deal to go to Mangosteen Spa at Phuket and could not book the holiday at all. Since then (from last year - 2011 ) I have requested for a refund with no luck. So I went to Consumer Affairs and Our Deal promised a refund (initianlly by Teresa and then Charlie)but still no luck. They give very evasive answers and are not very helpful. Customer Service is hopeless.

    I have since written to them again as suggested by Consumer Affairs for their Registered name and the ACN to escalate the matter to VCAT. ASIC could not find Our Deal in their books so their registered name must be different but I am still awaiting a reply from Our Deal re their registered name and ACN (which I sent last week).
    This has been going on for a year. They are the worst ever online company I have ever bought a holiday from.
