This deal is even sweeter than the previous Sandisk deal which was $197 for 500GB SSD. Link here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/446071

This WD one looks much nicer with metal chasis and design-wise(at least to me). In terms of speed, those two are comparable according to some tech reviews I read. One drawback of this one when comparing to the sandisk one is that the sandisk is somewhat water resistant (IP55).

IEC 60529 IP55: Tested to withstand water flow (30 kPa) at 3 min.; limited dust contact does not interfere with operation. Must be clean and dry before use.

This is my very first post. So let me know if anything I should mind.

Cheers.

The 1TB model at $269.87 is also decent value.

Also, well done OP on an excellent first post!

How do these compare to the Samsung T5? Would you be better waiting for a T5 deal, which usually come in around $130ish?

I am just not a fan of their design. T5 to me looks cheap and basic…
