My mate showed me his MM3 and I think itโ€™s just about convinced me to go droid.

Android will always be my favourite. Despite using both Android and iPhone daily :)

      • Best experience is having both iPhone and Android. :)

Do people really buy these, never seen one in the wild lol.

I think they are great for second work phone.

  • So tempting… I placed order for Mi 9 128gb and just see this now. Hope I made right decision.

    • Many pros and cons of each. Mi Mix 3 for example has the notchless display and slider as the selling point. While the Mi 9 for example has a more powerful CPU/GPU and better cameras.

      • Add to your point, coming from iPhone 7 plus and 8, Mix 3 is noticeably heavier. Need sometime to get use to.

      • Also IR blaster, something you don't use every day but always handy to have. I have had a few moments when I wish I had IR blaster in my phone.

  • Does this price include GST?

    • +2

      Gearvita don't charge GST.

      • Nice!

  • 218g….that's bloody heavy. My Mi Max 2 is less than that but feels pretty heavy.

  • do these phones have any warranty? im afraid of buying non AU models and many cheap chinese flagships are not for sale here, e.g. the new oneplus 7 pro that's getting so many rave reviews.

  • Been wanting this for a while as a secondary phone, will wait until a bit cheaper though

Guys, this is cheaper with tax invoice

    After 15% off, $628.15.

    • That's a good find!

  • I've been using mine for a few months. I think it's a great phone, still has the rear finger print sensor and the front camera behind screen is more than a novelty because I don't 'selfie'.

My device has a Geekbench CPU Score: 2400 (single core), 8776 (multi core), which is higher than - https://browser.geekbench.com/v4/cpu/12002583

    (12703 compute score)

  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G - any point ?

    • If you can see yourself taking advantage of 5G then sure. I personally can't as it's too expensive for too little gain.

      • well erm is it just telstra that is supplying ? and not there subsidiarys ?

probably not a bargain but haven't even seen sites listing the 5g version ……

was looking at ebay promos for the Mi 9 but couldn't find any listings that made use of the 10% off …

        • Telstra has the widest coverage with Optus offering select areas and Vodafone next year. Cheapest plan on 5G with Telstra is about $70/mth with 25GB data.

Very few stores will be stocking the 5G version until it rolls out more I suspect and the price will be quite high.

          • @Clear: currently sort of still $30 a month prepaid and have been using the $10 a month belong sub - so drifting pretty Far away from that sort of set up …………….

            what about Vodas merger ?

            • @mikezillakind: Yeah quite a big difference. I'm not going to consider 5G until at least 2020.
