Advice for Redsbaby Pram Defect Claim

About less than 2 years ago I have purchased Redsbaby Jive Pram after going through few social media reviews and recently while in use,
plastic clip three point harness got loosed by undone stitching. I would think this is a somewhat safety issue, imagine if you in a traffic light, and your toddler slide off to the road.
Anyhow, I check their website for warranty, it says 24 month warranty.

Since I can't find the clips to sewer it back on, I did a warranty claim, they come back and said, your item is more than 12 month old, 24 month warranty is for new products. Now I have to buy the entire harness system for around $65+ postage. Without that pram is useless.

What your thoughts are, I think it's a major issue how they go on about is not the best way.

Update:
Thanks for the comments all, ALC did the trick. They happy to replace it now. So they say ALC does works :)

  • refer them to the ACL

  • That's unfortunate as I've found Redsbaby to be pretty good with warranty claims and issues. We own a 2017 Jive.

The original Jive came with a 12 month warranty. The Jive 2 comes with a 24 month warranty.

Either way, I'd expect a harness to last longer than either of these periods, especially as it's an important functional component of the pram.

I'd recontact them again, stating safety issue and, as mentioned above, ACL. State that the item is not fit for purpose and that it is not useable. That the useful life of a pram is not intended to be less than 2 years. And see what they say this time.

    • Unfortunately for me, it's not a warranty claim as such, as it over the 12 month period as you said, but surely this should last more than 2 years.
I will see if ACL going to help. Plus it shouldn't be fall apart like that.

  • If your appeal to them fails then buy some quick release / side release buckles and get a boot maker to sew them on. It will be about $8 for the buckle & $15 for sewing.
