Benchmark Reviews:
"…you don't need me to tell you that I think this case is a winner. The CM Storm brand may be heavy on Marketing, but it's being used in the service of the customer. Their second offering, Scout: The True Gaming Case, is a solid companion to their first, the Sniper." Full review

CPU3D:
"Continuing their CM Storm product range, Coolermaster have delivered a midi tower case that's extremely appealing to the general public, especially gamers. If you compare it to an Antec 900, I would choose the CM Storm Scout." Full review

Bjorn3D:
"Overall, I thought the Scout was a very capable case. It's able to hold anything you want to put in it and the superior build quality makes it more than worth the price, and then some." Full review

Techgage:
"…if you are a LAN gamer I cannot think of a better case for your needs. Be certain you give this chassis a hard look before your next mobile build. You will not be disappointed." Full review

For that price range it's the best case you can buy.

  • how much for shipping?

    • If you add the product to your cart then the contents of your cart are displayed, with a shipping estimator towards the bottom.

Ed: for non-regional, standard shipping tends to be $15-$25 for an item of this size+weight in my experience

89+44 for shipping is no deal for me

    Guess I'm still case less

you could always grab a…… http://tinypic.com/r/2eofhqs/7 …pizza box! only downside is everytime you surf the net you have to order some online pizza :P

    • What happened to your previous case? (or did you never have one lol)

      • never bought a case, just the motherboard, cpu and power supply

        • huh.. just grab an Antec 300 from a local computer shop :)

        • That board's tiny. Is that a mini-ITX board? I can only see 1 PCIE slot.

      • micro-ATX

        Expansion Slots
        1 x PCIe 2.0 x16
        2 x PCIe 2.0 x1

    • haha lol

will get dusty and hot though

    • Hehehe That is awesome! :)

Hope you do not have cats in the house

    • I find your lack of dust disturbing.

I've found sadly dust filters can be hit or miss. My Antec solo was epic, no noticeable amount of dust got in. All i had to do was brush off the filters every so often. New case is a Silverstone Rave RV01 and is super shit, the filters do jack all, everything is caked in dust which i cbf clean off.

      • Solo also has a lot more restricted airflow though, with both less fanpower and less inflow venting. That would limit the amount actual air flowing through, thus also limiting the dust. But yes, some dust filters are better than others. :) That was actually what made me not get this case for my build after originally falling in love with the looks, no dust filters on that pesky side panel.

  • $40 shipping to Brissy.

  • If you're not into flashy cases full of dust-sucking, noise-promoting holes, the NZXT H2 is a good buy for a couple extra dollars;

    http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&c…

    • Looks like a cheaper version of a Fractal Design R3.

      • Exactly, and apparently not so great: http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/cases_cooling/nzxt_h2_vs_…

The R3, H2 and similar cases are also aimed at very different uses compared to the Scout.

        • Meh.. I've read so many varied reviews on the H2 - some love it, some hate it. Really seems to boil down to personal opinion. The only real downside is the limited airflow, which can be rectified with a mod if desired.

And I'm aware they are very different categories, hence how I started my post. ;)

  • Shipping killed this deal :(

I am going to preorder this from Umart I am sold on the case though.

    • Is it just me or did their general shipping rates go up recently :S I remember being able to order pretty much an entire build with an estimated rate of only $20 or so, now it's a lot more than that.

      • Doesn't seem like its gone up to me. As far as I can remember I paid the same amount ($17 for express) when I got my Raven (plus other stuff) from them. This was more than a year ago.
