Can you claim TRS on these?

    • -4

      No

      • Actually GST need to be paid for all things sold by online retailers, shouldn't GST also been paid for grey import and hence eligible for TRS?

        • Isnt it for over $1000? even then probably cant claim

          • @Gavman: u can still claim for products of $1000. Just need more than 1 person to claim the full amount.

            • @18: No you can claim, because it will depreciate from initial value.

          • +2

@Gavman: TRS is over $300 to make a claim

        • What can't be claimed?
          - goods purchased over the Internet and imported into Australia
          https://www.abf.gov.au/entering-and-leaving-australia/touris…

Probably hard for them to notice, but if we follow the rules my 'No' still stands.
          Claim at your own discretion.

            Hi,
This is import stock that comes with a 1 year My Mobile Group warranty
All our listed devices come with a Tax invoice and an ABN
We send out a Tax invoice by email once the device is marked as shipped
And a hard copy is received with the device upon delivery
            Regards
            My Mobile Rep

So yes you can claim TRS.

100% no - grey import means no GST, international stock. TRS need to be AUS business with ABN and u paid GST.

This company is called "MyMobile Australia" and are based in Brisbane.

I have received my snapdragon s10+ and they have included a gst invoice inside the package

      • is it the full amount, or the amount after 15% off?

        • +1

It shows the amount before discount.

        • +1

          Full amount

    • +1

I think you can. I bought one from last deal. They have got ABN(18114929574), also the GST shows in the tax invoice.

      • how long was delivery?

        • +1

Purchased on 13/05, shipped on 20/05 and received on 21/05.

          • @jimojr: 1 week for them to ship it wtf

            • @Stealthzor: Maybe their stock are in HK, After received order, they send the item to the store in Australia. Anyway the phone really good, after received I flashed Australian firmware. very happy with the phone.

              • @jimojr: How did you flash Australian firmware on a Snapdragon phone? All Australian S10's are Exynos…

                • @TwentyTwoCarats: My one is S10+ dual sim(G975FD 128GB), I flashed this rom, everything works perfectly.

                  • @jimojr: Nice, how's battery?

                    • @TwentyTwoCarats: I don't know the different with original rom, because I flashed Australian firmware straightaway after I received the phone. Only I can tell you that the battery life is much much better than S8 plus.

Wow they are getting cheaper and cheaper! Not sure how Google plans to compete against the other phones in the australian market haha

    • +2

      They cant.

Their phones are inferior, they should be priced waaaaayyyy lower to begin with.

  • +2

S10e over that new Pixel right?

    • The Pixel 3e? yeah this is more powerful than that.

      • +2

And more powerful than the Pixel 3.

    • all day every day

  • I thought dual sim is only on 512gb ceramic version?

    • thats for local stock, these are grey market

      • Ahh…. thanks.

    • International version. Grey import.

  • +1

Fml just bought the S10 Exynos version with corporate 35% off which was only $30 cheaper… Warranty tradeoff not worth Exynos over Snapdragon imo!

    • +2

If you end up needing the warranty it will be worth it.

      • True, heres hoping something stuffs up haha :P
And i guess re-selling in the future would be easier to the average joe if there is an Aussie warranty

      • if u need warranty on a grey and the seller has it, do u pay for shipping to them?

      • It's not just about warranty. I you want to pay to get your chipped/cracked screen repaired you can't because Samsung just flatly refuse to repair import models. Also, Samsung charge the 3rd party repairers a fortune for spare parts (e.g. digitizer) so a cracked screen can cost $500 to repair. I know this from my own experience.

    • Is snapdragon that much better?

      • only if u game

        • Batteries also take a hit depending on who you believe. Common concensus seems to be that the Snapdragon version has longer battery life.

I've read Anandtech's review where they looked at both models, and there were a few other firmware and software issues as well with the Exynos. That was at launch. These may have been fixed by now.

@khangu: My SOT almost doubled after April patch - Exynos S10E. It's lasting longer now than my P3XL snapdragon.

      • Ye

  • Redmi K20 PRO looks to be the same specs for half the price

    • K20 doesn't have B28 iirc

  • Can any one confirm that AU Model can be taken to Samsung for warranty claims without the purchase receipt ? I am looking to buy one from a private seller from ebay its in warranty and its AU Model SM-G975F

    • No I don't think so, SAMSUNG asks for receipt when claiming the warranty.

      • Just Chatted with Samsung rep. they said ebay receipt cant be used as proof of purchase at the time of any warranty claims. Thanks anyway

    • They can go with manufacturing date if stock is Australian as last resort. They can check this with the IMEI. Unless their policies have changed. That is for repairs. For replacement, they definitely need proof of purchase.

Any deals for Huawei P30 pro :)

How can a near 1 year old iPhone still be sold at $2000?

    • iPhone is not worth the money even at half the price.

  • Hi guys. Can I claim tax deductible for this if I use it as a work phone given it is grey import and not local stock? Also if smth stuff up can I bring it to a Samsung stall in Australia to fix?

    Thanks

    • I think you can tax deduct but you will have no warranty from Samsung au for grey stock. First thing they check is the au tick on the back and verify the imei is au stock before they will even touch it.

    • can claim trs, tax deductible, samsung Au won't support it.

      • Thanks. That sucks because the SD price was pretty good on a s10 plus. I wouldn’t bite though as if smth stuff up with the phone means lots of headache.

  • Just did a trial buy, and it's a 3 weeks delivery! 18th June.

Is that just a conservative estimate? That seems way too long compared to my other purchases from HK.

    • Came a week earlier than the earliest estimate .. to brisbane though

      • From MyMobile? My last couple of HK purchases from EGlobal, Kogan, T-Dimensions to Brisbane as well, had been delivered within a week, or week and half. These were for phones and cameras.

Not willing to fork out $1000+ and wait 3 weeks…

Can anyone confirm the grey import snapdragon works with banking apps or Samsung Pay (unrooted)?

    • +1

I used Samsung Note5 from Malaysia. THe samsung pay works perfectly.

    • my snap s10e works fine with Commbank and Google Pay

Perfect Mission is slightly cheaper for the Snapdragon S10+, and delivery between June 4th / June 11th.

    • Stay away from Perfect Mission, had bad experience with them in the past + their phones don’t come with factory seal

I recently bought Note 9 from My Mobile, can vouch for these guys. Phone was delivered on time with GST TAX Invoice & came in a factory sealed box

      • A lot of grey imports don't arrive with factory seal intact for various reasons, it's not limited to Perfect Mission.

        • it's not limited to Perfect Mission.

          I never said opposite.

All I did was, shared my experience with Perfect mission & My mobiles

          • @OzSikh: You didn't share your experience though you just said you had a bad experience. That doesn't tell anyone anything. What was the bad experience?

            I never said opposite

You specifically called Perfect Mission out for not selling sealed phones.

            • @aja12:

You specifically called Perfect Mission out for not selling sealed phones.

              And that's true!!

        • So?? What's ur point?

  • Are Grey Imports accepted by Samsung Australia for repairs? (ie, not warranty service)

    • +1

No. They will not help you.

      • Thanks

  • I want the new one plus, any deals on that one?

Galaxy S10 (Snapdragon) vs. Galaxy S10 (Exynos)

If you are wondering, snapdragon 855 is slightly faster
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ts6DWsktKxY

battery life is better with snapdragon
    screen on time
    snap - 8hrs vs exynos - 7hrs

    total
    snap - 24hrs vs exynos - 23hrs

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shrYnaxVenE

snap is slightly better. for the average casual user, its a close race.

I got mine from the official store via the employee discount for $849 not too long ago and already such a massive price drop! This is a grey buy for the s10e. I love it through and through.

  • Tried getting the s10e but the discount (puppy) code didn't work. Can someone confirm successfully using it?

    • +1

      Maybe check the code?
(meant in the least passive aggressive way possible)

      • Is it dog?

    • lol not sure whether you were serious or just joking. The code is PAPPY

  • I would go for the Samsung Galaxy S10+ Exynos had I not just bought a Note 9

  • +3

Is it worth buying now or better to wait till EOFY sales?

    • +1

It will be cheaper in the Christmas sales

      • Gold!

  • Hi, as anyone had any experience with this seller, particularly around warranty?

    • +1 for this question. Still deciding if I should grab a S10e

  • When will be getting the order?
